Chapter 54 - The people are the ones who write the future.

"Muu.. little Hendrix actually survived, huh. I guess those arrogant gods were quite Incompetent after all." Lizy casually said. She then backed away and gently rubbed the corners of her adorable droopy eyes.

She still remembers the day when she was told that he died, and even though inside she was a bit sad, since Hendrix and she had always had a really good relationship, she couldn't do anything to help him since the other gods were already firmly set on eliminating him.

Even after he was captured and detained, and even going through Isis's lecture and even going through her counselling, he was still set on his ambitions to face the true gods, with no other choice, the gods who were too cowardly to face the wrath from the true gods, all united together.

"Now then, do you finally understand how serious this situation is?" Raiden questioned.

"Yawn. I can understand why you're so eager for this boy's annihilation, but, to be honest, I don't really feel like eliminating him." Lizy said with a troubled look.

"Eh... why not?" He asked.

".... Because big sis would be sad." She answered honestly. Raiden frowned deeply as he tried to understand her words, then the image of a beautiful woman with white hair and pink tips appeared in his mind.

'Ah, that woman. Indeed, she would be heartbroken.' Raiden thought as he frowned. He sighed deeply while remembering an old memory from long ago. When the gods decided to eliminate Hendrix, they had to plan a meeting behind her back. After hours of debating, they finally came up with the plan to kill him for the good of the world.

Of course, when Isis found out about their plan, it was too late. The last image she remembers of her younger brother was the scene of his being killed right before her eyes as his soul was destroyed.

She was then left in a state of depression as she isolated herself from the other gods and goddesses. It didn't matter what Hendrix had done for her; he was her younger brother. The scene of his soul being destroyed wasn't a pleasant one to remember, but now... that image was deeply ingrained in her memory forever.

Nowadays, she acted indifferently towards the others; there was no trace of her usual fairylike smile anywhere. As for the gods who were directly involved with eliminating her younger brother, she now looked at them as though they were her greatest enemies.

Raiden broke into a cold sweat at the thought of being that woman's enemy. That was enough to send a chill down his spine.

"Tsk, this is why I wanted you to go there personally. If it is you, then no one would know." Raiden said. "Of course, I would've liked to go there myself, but... that's impossible for me. My divine aura would be noticed immediately." He further stated.

Lizy only looked at Raiden for a few minutes before she sighed as though this whole situation was troublesome. "Fine, after seeing that boy's strength, I can understand why you're so troubled if he kept growing unhindered in the future, but... I will only observe him closely if he doesn't do anything strange, then I shall not do anything to harm him. While I am not sure if that boy is big sis reincarnated brother or not, I can't take the risk of her hating me." Lizy calmly said.

Raiden nodded his head as though he was satisfied with her answer, although he would much prefer that boy's Elimination, he too did not want to poke the hornet's nest while knowing that woman's current capabilities.

Just the thought was terrifying in itself. "Well then, now that you're satisfied, I'll be heading out," Lizy said. Then, the space inside the room began to distort fiercely as a medium-sized portal appeared within the room. Lizy stepped inside, and without looking back, the portal slowly began to close.

Before the portal could completely close, she said in a serious tone. "Try to make sure you don't get caught up inside your own delusions. The future isn't written by that so-called 'Book of predictions', but by the people themselves." Soon, the portal closed and completely disappeared without a trace. Hearing that Raiden frowned, he then looked at the book he subconsciously held tightly inside his hand. "The future written by the people... such nonsense." He muttered with a look of disdain.

"I am the god of predictions! My predictions are always right! Don't look down on me and treat me like I'm paranoid, you brat!" He roared.

BOOOM!

A wave of magical power was suddenly released from his body, destroying everything within the room.

...

In another room...

A beautiful woman could be seen sitting down while staring absentmindedly outside the window, where various birds could be seen flying as the many clouds grew more distant as the seconds passed.

The woman seems to be in her early twenties with waist-length white hair with pink tips at the end. Her eyes were a beautiful silver colour. She was dressed in a long white gown that reached a bit towards her knees.

Her skin was pale and carried no imperfections anywhere. Her entire body was proportionate and voluptuous. The woman is called the 'Goddess of Life' And holds a special position within this world. She was in charge of cleaning the contaminated souls of all their impurities and allowing all life forms to continue existing.

But nowadays she spends more time locked within her room as she gazed silently outside the window for days to come, completely forgetting about the passage of time. Standing behind her was her personal assistant. A beautiful woman with long black hair and blue eyes, of course, only half of her face was visible as her right eye was being covered by her front bangs.

The woman was dressed in a black and white maid-style uniform. Though the woman also carried the aura of a goddess. Her blue eye currently reflected the depressed goddess who was staring outside the window as though she had seen something very interesting. The black-haired woman sighed deeply as she watched the state of her master. 'I wish she would get over this already.' The woman thought to herself.

If this continued, then she would most likely lose her position. She hasn't done anything related to her job since she lost her brother. With the death of the god of death, who currently manages the reincarnation cycle gone the souls are starting to stagnate.

Then the goddess of life neglects her own job of purifying the souls. Many souls are being reborn as monsters from the corruption since their 'Impurities' Weren't being purified. At this state, it will probably take another five hundred years before the 'True gods' Notice this irregularity.

"U-Umm. My lady, why don't you take some fresh air? You've been locked up here for days now." The black-haired woman suddenly suggested.

"..." There was no reply; Isis just continued looking out the window. Seeing this, the woman sighed once again.

It was difficult to see the expression on her face as her long, beautiful white hair covered most of it from the position where she stood.

"My lady, I seriously think you should take a break outside." She said once again, moving closer to Isis, who kept her gaze turned outside. Once the woman was standing at a distance of three meters from her, she said.

"M-My lady?" She slowly reached out her hand to gently touch Isis's shoulder, but...

"..... Get out!" Isis's melodious voice thundered.

"?!"

A powerful gust of wind blew, and the black-haired woman's body was sent flying backwards with a powerful force! While she was sent flying backwards, the door suddenly opened, and her body was sent flying uncontrollably through it.

BANG!

The door then closed with a loud bang, and Isis continued gazing at the outside, her expression as though she was grieving.

...

On the outside, the black-haired woman got to her feet while fixing her dishevelled maid uniform. The woman sighed as she wore an expression as though she was already used to these kinds of things. 'Should I quit? Things keep getting more troublesome ever since that man died.' She once again heaved a long sigh. While cursing Hendrix for giving her so many headaches.

TAP, TAP, TAP!

The black-haired woman turned her head to the sound of someone's footsteps. When she looked at the left side of the hallway, she saw two silhouettes making their way towards her, slowly two people reflected within her blue eyes, one was a gorgeous woman with long magenta hair, standing next to a handsome man with short black hair.

"Sigh, let me guess, she tossed you out again." The woman with magenta coloured haired asked, with a strained smile on her face. The black-haired woman nodded her head. "I thought so, sigh. This is quite a mess. I thought she might get better at least within a few centuries; billions of years had already passed." The magenta-haired woman said.

"Eirene, you are too kind. I told you to let me drag that bitch out instead of letting her get better on her own, wouldn't it be better to beat some sense into her!" The black-haired man said.

"Charles, what do you think would happen if I allow such an act? With the current state of things, even more animosity would only make things worse." She said calmly as though it was obvious. "Tch." Charles clicked his tongue.

'Sigh, at this rate, the entire divine island will only end up as a battlefield. As the goddess of peace, I must prevent that at any cost.' She thought.

"Please allow me to talk to her." The goddess of peace, Eirene, said. The black-haired woman nodded her head before stepping to the side, allowing her entry to Isis's room.
