Chapter 1 - Awakening

"Where am I?!"

Yonaa scanned her surroundings. The room is white nuanced with a distinctive aroma that immediately pierces the sense of smell. It is certain that Yonaa woke up in a hospital room.

"Gosh! Who is she?! Why does her face look like mine?!" Yonaa screamed as she turned her body to face the patient bed.

On the bed lay a beautiful girl whose face was very similar to Yonaa. Yonaa approached the girl. Slowly she reached out her hand to touch her cheek.

"What?!" Yona hissed.

Instantly her eyes widened. She once again touched her hand to her cheek. Then in a quick and furious motion, she touched her hand on the rest of the girl's body again and again. She tried her best to touch, not even just touching, Yonaa tried to pat and even hit the girl's body, but unfortunately all she did was in vain. Her hands can't touch the girl!

"What happened? Why can't I touch this girl?" Yonaa hissed.

Check!

The bedroom door opened, Yonaa turned her head and her eyes widened cheerfully when she knew that coming from the door was the person she loved the most.

"Mom..."

Her voice choked when she was about to hug Mrs. Carissa. Once again she was surprised by something she could not understand. Madame Carissa's body pierced her body.

"Dear ... come to your senses ... mama misses ..." hissed Mrs. Carissa with a voice that was almost half hoarse holding back tears.

She held the hand of the girl lying on the bed carefully so that the tube that was stretched over the back of Yonaa's hand would not be disturbed. Yonaa finally approached Mrs. Carissa and noticed what was really going on.

'Am I in a dream? Why can't you hear my voice?' Yonaa thought.

"Excuse me madam, I would like to carry out routine checks on this patient."

The voice of a nurse awakened Mrs. Carissa who was rubbing Yonaa's hand.

"Ah, yes sister please."

The nurse then did her job well. Check the pulse and then check the flow of intravenous fluids.

Yonaa watched carefully. Her heart kept wondering where exactly she was? After the nurse checked the condition of the girl who was very similar to Yonaa and then went to the bedroom door, but then the door opened first before the nurse opened it. The sad face of a handsome man peeked out from behind the door.

"Ah, yes, for a moment, sister. How is my sister doing?"

The nurse who was about to leave the room suddenly stopped her footsteps.

"Miss Yonaa's condition is still being monitored by the doctor. We can't confirm when Miss Yonaa wakes up from her current coma," the nurse replied.

Yona's eyes widened.

"She… she is me? Where am I actually? Am I in dreamland? I have to wake up from my sleep soon. This dream is too scary!" Yonaa hissed as her ears overheard the conversation between the nurse and her older brother, Zico.

Yonaa angrily patted her cheek with the aim that she could quickly wake up from a situation that she thought was a nightmare. But unfortunately, all her efforts to no avail. She couldn't even touch her own body. She raised her palm. And her heart beat faster when she saw her palms seem to penetrate the floor of the room.

"I … "

Her tongue tightened. Her mind was messed up.

"Mom, tonight, I'll just wait for Yonaa. You'd better go home. I'm worried about mom's health too. Lately, Mom has been eating irregularly," said Zico while gently stroking Mrs. Carissa's back.

"Okay ..." said Mrs. Carissa with a heavy heart.

She got up from the chair and Zico followed his mother out of the room.

"Ah, yes Zico. Mama just went home with the driver. You stay here. Maybe there is a development from Yonaa's condition. Mama really hopes she can wake up from her coma soon," said Mrs. Carissa while looking at the girl lying on the bed. Meanwhile, Yonaa had been watching the two of them talking without being able to prove her existence in the same room with them with a look of sadness.

"Okay mom. Mama be careful on the road. Don't think about Yonaa's condition. She will definitely be fine and come back to our midst. Mama don't worry, okay?" Zico said comforting his mother.

After escorting his mother to the hospital lobby – who was immediately greeted by the driver who rushed over after being called to pick up Mrs. Carissa, Zico then returned to Yonaa's room.

Zico sat in the chair right next to Yonaa – the chair that was occupied by Mrs. Carissa. He looked at the face of Yonaa who was lying on the bed with a sad look. It was apparent in his eyes that he too missed his little sister very much.

"Bro Zico, it's me!" shouted Yonaa.

Once again she tried to shout at the man who was now holding the girl's hand.

"Bro Zico! I'm here! Why can't you hear my voice? I'm actually what?!"

Again and again, Yonaa called out for the man in front of her to hear her voice and answer her question. But sadly, it was all in vain.

"Yonaa ... if at that time, brother had a meeting and met with investors at the café, of course you wouldn't experience this. I'm sorry ... brother has neglected to take care of you," he whispered while rubbing Yonaa's cheek with his fingers.

"Meeting with investors? At the café? What do you mean, bro? I don't understand, please explain to me!" Yonaa exclaimed.

There was no answer from Zico because Zico couldn't hear Yonaa's voice at all. So what situation is Yonaa actually in? Yonaa's brain then processed all the things she saw in front of her eyes during the few days she was in that room. It was clear that he was not dreaming. She couldn't wake up from the situation. Although her heart wanted to deny it, but the conclusions he got from every activity in the room, starting from the routine checks of nurses and doctors, also her family who took turns waiting for her until the evening, and the last information she got from the doctor's conversation with her mother that she was in a coma, Yonaa finally concluded that she was in the spirit realm. Where the spirit can not return to the body but also can not escape from the natural world.

The question that arises after concluding it all is what made her stuck in the spirit realm? She should have left the world or died if she had an accident or accident that caused her life to fly.

"I have to find out. But how? Everyone I asked didn't hear my voice. They didn't know where I was," complained Yonaa almost desperately.

Yonaa continues to look for ways how to interact with her family and also the medical team who are checking her body condition, but still can't. She couldn't even get out of the room. It was as if the walls of the room were holding her back from being far from her real body.
