Derek hurried up to his office. He knew he was going to be late but he had no other choice, so he ran as fast as he could using his superspeed to make his journey faster. He arrived in his office a bit late and saw Brian with a worried look on his face.
"Why are you looking like that, is anything the problem?," Derek asked as he studied his face carefully.
"Nothing is wrong, boss. Mr Michigan is here and he has been here for quite a while. He has been very angry and he keeps shouting boss," Brian replied, still looking very worried.
"I heard he has quite a temper. I still wonder how I am going to manage all his pride and all, I just need to close this deal and be done with him," Derek replied as he walked into his office.

Mr Michigan arrived at Derek's office, a few minutes before the meeting. Mr Michigan was one of the most prominent and rich businessmen in oakcrest. He was known for his shady business and was feared by many. He walked into Derek's office hoping to see him but was surprised to see Brian instead.
"Where is your boss, young man?," He asked rudely as he looked at him from head to toe.
"My boss will be here shortly, just have a seat and be patient Sir," Brian replied In a very calm manner.
"Patience,I am a very busy man.I took out time to come here for this meeting and your boss is not here, what does he take me for?," Mr Michigan shouted at him.
"I am very sorry about this sir, I can assure you that my boss will join you very soon and even sooner than we are expecting," Brian answered, trying to calm him down and surprisingly,it worked.
"I am just going to wait for five more minutes and if he is not here, I can assure you that our deal will be off,"Mr Michigan replied as he took his seat.
"Permit me to excuse myself sir," Brian said as he walked out of the office worried and not knowing what to do next. He brought his phone to call his boss and as he was about to, he sighted him coming in.

Derek walked into his office with confidence. He was not going to take any insult from Mr Michigan and he knew Mr Michigan would not even dare to say anything annoying in his presence.
"Good morning Mr Michigan," Derek said as he entered the office waking up the almost half asleep man.
"You kept me waiting Mr Derek. I know you know that this deal is very important to the both of us," Mr Michigan replied with a smirk that annoyed him.
"Something urgent came up and I had to be there, can we start now?," Derek asked as he took a seat facing him.
"Something urgent, you kept me here waiting because something urgent came up. You know that I am a very important and busy businessman and you kept me here waiting for you. It seems this deal is not as important to you as I thought,"Mr Michigan fired at him and that made him very angry.
"If this deal was not important to you as well, you would not have waited for me. You need me just as much as I need you so stop all these threats," Derek replied with anger on his face.
"You are very rude Mr Derek, It seems you were not informed about me because if you were, you would not be speaking to me like this," Mr Michigan said, surprised by Derek's words.
"Oh I know who you are Mr Michigan, Your reputation precedes you but I am not scared of you, and as a matter of fact, you should be scared of me. Let's just start this meeting and get it over with," Derek answered with confidence, shocking Mr Michigan. He had never seen anyone not intimidated by him before.
"You!, I am not going to stay here another minute and be insulted or disrespected by you. I will send my personal assistant to you and he will close the deal,"Mr Michigan replied and as he was about to angrily walk out of his office,his phone rang.
"What do you mean by she escaped? You all are idiots," he shouted at the speaker on the other side of the phone and hung up..
"Do not forget to close the door after you Mr Michigan," Derek said in a calm voice and that pissed him off making him storm out of the office more angrier than before.

Jocelyn got home still trying to comprehend everything that happened. She wondered what happened to her source and if everything was a trap set by Mr Michigan to get to her. Her greatest fear was her family being harmed but she was not going to let them intimidate her at all with any of their threats. Thoughts of the handsome stranger she met ran through her mind and she could not help but adore his handsomeness. She was not one to be attracted to any man but this one was very different and she could not understand why. She was so lost in thoughts that she did not notice the presence of her younger sister Laurel, who had been watching her for a while.
"I have never seen you smile like that in ages, did you meet someone special today?," Laurel asked as she saw the smile on her sister's face. The sound of her voice brought Jocelyn back to reality.
"Smile as how, stop playing with me Laurel," Jocelyn replied trying to hide her smile.
"Did you meet a guy today? It seems you did big sis. tell me all about it," Laurel said with a smile and Jocelyn became nervous.
"What do you know about guys Laurel? are you not just twelve years old?," Jocelyn asked, surprised by her younger sister's words.
"I know you Jocelyn and I have never seen you smile like this before,so tell me about him," Laurel asked with a wide grin.
"Okay dear, remember I told you that I was going to meet up with a source today," Jocelyn replied as she tried to go through everything that happened earlier.
