" I couldn't bear it... So I ran away." Saying it, she took a deep breath to calm herself down, to keep her emotions in check. Because right now she was a mess.
" Still, I couldn't make myself to hate you." She finally said after long minutes of silence.
" It should have been easy to despise you. But I just couldn't do it. Despite the fact that you threatened me and tried so hard to make me feel jealous, I just couldn't stop loving you."
Saying that, she climbed off the bed, walked between Marcus's legs and crouched down between them.
Raising her hands, she gently removed his hands that were covering his face.
At first, he steeled them. But eventually, he let her remove them. She intertwined her fingers with his and watched him intently.
The tears coming out from his blue orbs, rolling down his cheeks and falling on her knees.
It pained her to see him like this. Placing her hands on both sides of his face, she wiped away his tears. And with a gentle smile, she spoke.
" I couldn't stop loving you because I knew something was wrong. I just didn't know how to figure out what it was." She paused, to caress his face and take a closer look of his ever so handsome features.
Oh how she had missed him. His jet black hair, thin masculine lips, scent, his sharp nose.
Trailing her eyes down, she took a look at his long masculine neck, broad shoulders and six packs.
Regaining her senses, she looked at him in the eyes and proceeded.
" Something was definitely wrong. But you didn't have to do that to me. You absolutely had no valid reasons to go to that extent, babe... But still, I can't hate you."
Putting her forehead against his, to be closer to him, she said.
" I can't hate you because I love you. And I will never stop loving you."
