Xu Yun nodded. "Please, say whatever's on your mind." Lin Zhenhua lifted his eyelids and glanced at him, then said slowly, "My friend is indeed an academician, but his situation is a bit special, not quite like the others."
Xu Yun was taken aback. In an instant, all sorts of ideas flashed through his mind—like being a fraud, just earning consulting fees for a name, and so on. But he quickly dismissed the thought. With some exceptions, most academicians of this sort genuinely no longer have the energy or stamina for sustained frontline research. Lin Zhenhua definitely wouldn't recommend that kind of heavyweight to him.
In other words, there are at most one hundred and eighty academicians nationwide who truly meet Lin Zhenhua's criteria. These top-level experts are exactly the type Xu Yun could only dream about, the ones who are out of reach. Yet Lin Zhenhua is saying he can introduce an academician to his company? Isn't that a little too wild?
