Half an hour later.
Xu Yun rushed into the medical building, took the elevator up to the lab.
As soon as he walked in.
He saw Qiu Sheng with earbuds in, slouched back in his chair, right leg crossed and swinging lazily.
Scrolling through Douyin and sipping soy milk, looking absolutely delighted.
Xu Yun strode over, curled his index finger, and tapped the table twice:
"Hey, Qiu."
"Hm?"
Qiu Sheng finally snapped out of it, took off his earbuds.
He stretched, then grabbed a sealed cup of soy milk from beside him and slid it over to Xu Yun:
"Here, fresh soy milk from East Garden Canteen, still hot."
"Courtesy of our donkey friend's hard work—honestly, this stuff's been so popular lately, a minute past eight and it's all gone."
Xu Yun took the soy milk, sipped it lightly, then said:
"Let's not talk about the soy milk yet. So, Qiu, what's up with that culture medium you mentioned earlier?"
