After the house had been cleaned out,with Jade helping the servants with most of the work.
"Madam it will not be good if Mr lee or Mrs lee find out that you are doing the house chores. I could lose my job " A panicky maid who saw Jade dusting a furniture said.
Jade gave her a warm smile. "What is your name " She said and continued dusting.
"So ya" the maid said
"Will you just stand there and do nothing? " an authoritative voice said and as if Soya recognized the voice,she collected the duster from Jade.
"You're just going to let the Mistress of the house do your work? how irresponsible can you be" The middle aged woman continued.
"Madam kang, don't scold her, I wanted to do it since I had nothing else to do " Jade said in defense of Soya who was obviously scared to defend herself.
"Miss Yoon, please " Madam Kang said gesturing to Jade to walk with her.
As they walked down the hallway,just at the end of the hallway,the scents of fresh flowers filled the air, Jade inhaled deeply and smiled.
She was happy that the gardener she hired had fulfilled her request in such short notice. the beautiful colors and species of flowers were carefully planted in the garden, but what she liked the most was the swing in the center of the garden, this was her favorite part of the house.
"Mrs lee asked me to come and stay here as a housekeeper, and I'm happy she did" Madam kang said after she made sure they were alone.
"Mother really shouldn't have bothered, we have enough servants in the house, and now your leave has been affected" Jade said
"Miss Yoon, you are a nice person and that is a good quality, but being the Mistress of the house there are ways that you should carry yourself, your behavior is the standard that every other person living in the house will follow. Surely it will be hard to follow all the rules at first, but you will get used to it with time" Madam kang paused to catch Jade's reaction but Jade said nothing and just listened carefully.
"Mrs lee has also asked me to deliver this to you" Madam kang handed her a file,and without another word, she left the Jade alone in the garden.
Jade looked at the file in her hand, she knew fully well what was inside. Mother had promised her a parcel that would help her survive in the social circle.
As she opened the file, the first page contained rules that she was expected to follow. The same rules that her mother kept repeating to her ever since the engagement party.
Even before she came here this morning her Mother had insisted on Seeing her and just as she expected along with her housewarming gift, she also kept going on and on about how important each rule was.
"Your words and etiquette should represent your household. loud noises or behaviors are strictly prohibited. Helping and supporting your husband's career is your responsibility. You should take pride in caring for your in law and Children. Social gatherings and Soirees are important to your Husband's career and your Children's social life. Punishment and rewards should be given as supposed to the workers of the house" Her Mother had said before embracing her warmly.
She had long waited for this day, the day she'd assume her role in Yeong's life as his woman, all that was left was to finally win his heart . she knew it was almost impossible but she was willing to do whatever it takes. She felt her phone vibrate in her pocket and took it out.
It was a reminder for Ruby's live press conference with on air airways.

In the Conference room of lee Corp where the press conference was to be held. Several media companies were in attendance, a lot of reporters were already taking pictures while others were preparing questions for the duo.
As Ruby walked into the room followed by Jay and Yeong. The reporters all ran towards them asking questions and taking pictures. but thankfully Yeong had prepared a security team who came in time and led the trio to their seat in front that faced the crowd. The crowd was immediately silenced as they took their seats and the only sounds were of clicking cameras.
"I'll start today's press conference by appreciating everyone's efforts for being here and down to the issue of the day. Three days ago a reporter had raised an issue about my relationship with Mr Song Jay of Onair airways. now we shall welcome your questions." Ruby said
"Was your relationship all just a business front " a Male reporter started
" Our companies have a long business relationship, and it doesn't concern our personal affairs" Ruby replied
"According to the video that was shared on the internet, there was mention of a contract, and this contract seems to be the root of your relationship, if you could enlighten us a bit what this is about " Another reporter asked
Ruby stared blankly at the reporter as she thought of an answer to give. it was true that her Mother had made her date Jay because of the contract .
"I've liked Miss lee for a while and that is why I asked her to date me, this relationship is our problem and the contract in question is a highly confidential agreement between two companies, it is not something you should be concerned with. Hopefully we have managed to convince you all that the trust you have in our companies and the service we render is not something to be broken, but we deeply apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused" jay said as the three stood and gave a deep bow in apology.
After the press conference Yeong checked with the PR and confirmed that public opinion had changed.
"You did a good job today, you can take the rest of the day off" Ruby said to Yeong.
"I get half day off because I did a good job?" Yeong asked in surprise. Knowing his sister, she was not one to condone laziness and giving days off wete her nemesis.
"I'm not going to listen to your Mother in law whine about how I overwork her son in law causing her daughter to be lonely at home, so just go and check out your new house " Ruby said.
"Alright, I'll just leave. Jade wants to have dinner this weekend with the family " Yeong said.
"I'm not going to make it, I have prior arrangements, but I'll send my gift." Ruby said.
"okay. Goodbye then ". Yeong said and left .
