When Zane Bennett returned, Summer Hue was staring blankly at her computer screen, only snapping back to reality when she heard the movement at the doorway.
"What's going on?" she asked, even suspecting that Philip Bennett's anger might be due to her arrival.
Of course, it was just a guess, but seeing Zane Bennett's dejected expression, she knew nothing good had happened.
Her guess couldn't be far off.
"It's nothing." Zane Bennett waved his hand, then slowly sat down in the gaming chair, burying his head in his hands.
His state clearly spelled out that something was wrong, prompting her to ask further, partly out of concern and partly out of curiosity.
After all, she had a strong curiosity, but if Zane Bennett really didn't want to talk, she couldn't force him.
"Be good, don't say anything." The man muttered weakly, sounding entirely drained.
She reached out and patted the man's back gently, saying tenderly, "What's wrong? Tell me, I can help you share the burden."
