A displaced thought woke her up.
With her brain still laden heavy with sleepiness she tried to make sense of the tiredness of her body.
But awareness didn't come quickly. Her body was soee but it evoke a certain softness that blanketed her body. It doesn't happen everyday hence she tried to keep it longer fighting the unraveling of sleep to slip away.
"Ugh…hmmm," she mumbled half-asleep.
She raised her arms over her head and stretched.
Then a small tick at the back of her head made her sprung to sit upright from the bed.
"What?"
She scanned the unfamiliar surroundings and blushed deeply when flashes of memories came back.
"Ugh! So embarrassing. How could you be so brazen!" She castigated herself but with a smirk on her lips.
She pulled the strap of her nightgown back to its place and felt a soreness at the side of her neck.
She gingerly touched it and flinched. She looked for her phone and found it on top of the side table next to the bed.
