"Your Majesty," Iris, with her entourage, curtsied before the regal figure of Empress Seraphina who was sitting on her throne. Just like the Emperor, his wife had her own audience chamber, and that was where she decided to receive Iris. She was wearing a dark purple gown symbolic of the imperial family and the crown of Empress on her head.
Iris quickly analyzed the situation. The Empress was showing all her powers in this simple meeting. This could only mean that she wanted to pressure Iris with her authority.
