Chapter 3 - Suspect

Unable to bear the embarrassment, Takumi moved to leave. However, Sakurako held his arm and handed him another spoonful of rice.

"Akazawa-san, you should eat first. Your stomach is hungry!"

"Let go! I want to sleep!"

"No! Eat first."

"Let go of my hand!"

"Not!"

"Free!"

"N-ah...."

As a result of the attraction being too strong, the two of them fell down with Takumi on top of Sakurako. They were too close together, so they stared at each other.

The heart was racing, accompanied by a strange roar. However, the two of them didn't budge.

"Ehem!"

They both turned. Seeing a woman in her 18s, was crossing her arms, staring at the two of them.

"Nee-chan!" shouted Takumi while glaring in surprise.

*Onee-chan = sister

"Am I disturbing, Taku-chan?" said his sister Takumi, half sarcastically. She stood cross-legged in the doorway.

The two of them immediately got up, then tidied themselves nervously. A red hue adorned his face with a strange throbbing that never went away.

"Why did Nee-chan come home? Didn't Nee-chan say she would stay for a week?" Takumi broke the gripping awkwardness.

"So what if I go home now? So that you two can be alone at home, heum? What was your scene earlier?!" Takumi's older sister grumbled.

"No, that's not what I meant." Takumi scratched the back of his neck, avoiding the glare of his older brother.

"Then, who is this girl?" asked his sister again, watching Sakurako from top to bottom.

"Ah, introduce! My name is Sakurako, your little brother's close friend, Onee-san," she said smiling sweetly as she bowed ninety degrees.

*Onee-san = older sister

Takumi whispered, "Hey! Since when did we become close friends, huh?"

"Hmm, since two hours ago hehehe," said Sakurako with a strange smile that irritated Takumi.

His older sister Takumi watched her little brother who was whispering with the beautiful girl.

"Taku-chan, this lover of yours is not only beautiful, cute, but also very polite, huh?" said his sister as she gently stroked Sakurako's indigo mane.

Takumi glared sharply. "She's not my lover, Nee-chan!"

"Wow! Did Rako-chan cook all this?" screamed the girl, surprised to see the various dishes on the table, ignoring Takumi just like that.

Sakurako nodded. "Right, Nee-san."

"I just happened to be hungry. Let's eat together!" invite sister Takumi, cheerfully.

"But Nee-san——" Takumi didn't continue his sentence because his sister ignored him.

The woman who seemed to be sitting in college led Sakurako to the dining table. Inevitably, Takumi finally sat down to watch the two women who were now chattering happily.

"Wow, Rako-chan's cooking is delicious!"

"Really, Nee-san?"

The woman who had been living in the dormitory nodded while enjoying the food she was chewing. Takumi frowned when he heard his sister praising the food that he initially thought had poison in it.

Takumi took a sip of it, chewed it and swallowed it. After tasting it, it looks really amazing. In fact, this dish is much tastier than what he makes everyday.

Finally, Takumi was eating voraciously.

After dinner, Sakurako washes the dishes with the help of Takumi, who is forced to do it because of his sister's insistence.

In fact, the woman who grew up with Takumi came home just to pick up a few things. After that, go back to the hostel. During this time, Takumi and his sister were alone. Complicated problems occur with their family so Takumi only lives with his sister.

In fact, Takumi would be furious if his sister left. He will be very busy taking care of the house which is not at all his forte. Takumi was even annoyed that his sister had decided to stay in the campus dormitory.

Takumi took a deep breath, and exhaled roughly. He sighed repeatedly, causing Sakurako to turn around curiously.

"Akazawa-san, why?"

"Don't call my surname!"

Takumi suddenly gets annoyed, even though he has never protested when Sakurako calls his family name. Maybe he wants to be called by his first name?

"Okay, Takumi-san why?"

"I think I'm starting to realize something," he said dreamily.

"Realized what?" asked Sakurako not understanding.

"That you are not real. There is no Sakurako. There are no youkai. There are no ghosts. You are just an illusory being that I created. It seems I am suffering from a mental breakdown."

"Huh? Why all of a sudden? But, your sister can see me, Takumi-san." Sakurako comment denied.

"Of course! Because she is my sister so she justifies everything I say."

Silence for a moment.

Sakurako looked down.

"Is that so? Then, how can I prove that I'm real?"

"From now on you have to wash my clothes, take out the trash, wash the dishes, clean the house. That way you can show your existence," said Takumi while pointing at the pile of dirty laundry, dirty dishes and trash.

"Okay," said Sakurako, excited.

The innocent Sakurako also agreed, not knowing that Takumi was now getting a sneaky grin.
