On the weekend, Nancy Sutton had arranged to meet with her friend Sean Grant at 9 in the morning. At this moment, she was looking at the two kids in the living room, unsure of what to do.
Just then, the old lady happened to come out of the room, and Nancy's eyes lit up. She hurried over to the old lady.
"Granny, I have some work today. Could you help me look after the two kids at home?"
Nancy reluctantly swallowed when saying this, typical of lying, but the old lady didn't notice.
The old lady responded without any hesitation, her tone even carried a hint of happiness.
"Of course, I can."
Seeing the old lady agree, Nancy picked up her bag and prepared to go downstairs. Mason Sutton heard the noise, turned his head, and saw Nancy bending down to put on shoes, feeling a bit puzzled.
"Mommy, are you going out?"
Nancy's body stiffened, forcing herself to put on a natural smile.
"Yes, there's something at the company, and I need to go over."
Mason Sutton realized.
