Nancy Sutton glanced at Aaron Kendrick's hair and praised.
"Lucky you have so much hair; otherwise, your head would certainly be cracked open."
Aaron Kendrick smiled wryly and started chatting with Nancy Sutton while waiting for his prescription at the pharmacy.
Aaron suddenly recalled seeing a little girl and boy who looked exactly alike entering the 20th floor, and he asked.
"Do you have two children?"
Nancy Sutton didn't want to hide it, so she nodded.
Aaron Kendrick gently furrowed his brows and tentatively asked another question.
"I've never seen their father before—where is he?"
Nancy Sutton was momentarily stunned, then truthfully shared her situation.
"I'm single."
Aaron Kendrick froze for a moment, a trace of happiness flashing in his eyes, but he tactfully knew not to continue on this topic.
He quickly and smartly changed the subject.
"Why don't you head back? If the kids wake up and can't find you, that won't be good."
