Nancy Sutton was stunned for a moment, then answered truthfully.
"Yes."
The old lady secretly opened one eye, knowing her plan had succeeded, and a hint of a smile flashed in her eyes.
Feigning weakness.
"Nancy, why don't you help me over there? I want to rest now."
Nancy Sutton nodded and kindly helped the old lady to the guest room. After placing her on the bed, she quietly left.
Nancy Sutton looked at the man sitting on the sofa, lost in thought, and felt a slight sympathy—this tactic of the old lady was truly hard to handle.
For once, Nancy wanted to comfort Liam Quincy, but before she could speak, the man took over the conversation.
Liam Quincy coldly stared at Nancy Sutton, as if he saw through her intentions, and smirked disdainfully.
"Isn't this just what you wished for?"
Surprised by his words, Nancy Sutton exclaimed.
"Huh!?"
Nancy really couldn't understand what was in Liam Quincy's head; he was somewhat annoyed by Nancy's pretending not to know.
