"So, what if I love her? You, aren't my girlfriend so what position are you in to yell at her? Look, you even made her cry!" Shouted a handsome boy with an angry look on his face. Standing behind him, was a cute, pretty girl. With tears in the corners of her eyes she tried to calm the boy down, "S-stop it Matthew, it wasn't her fault it was mine. S-she was just talking with me and something got into my eye. That's all. R-really!" The boy turned back to her. "Don't try to protect her Ava. You can't fool me. She made you cry. I promised that I would protect you. So leave this to me. I'll take care of it." He said to her gently but with obvious anger in his tone. The girl looked hesitant but nodded and gave a shy smile. "Thank you Matthew." The boy looked proud, then turned back to another pretty looking girl that was sitting on the ground. She had tears in her eyes, and a shocked expression on her face. "You slapped me!" She cried in disbelief. "You slapped me because of her? Why!"
Observing the cliché scene happening right in front of her, Adrienne closed her eyes and asked the system in her mind, "What is going on? Did the system malfunction? Who am I right now? Please tell me I was hearing things when the main system said that this mission upgraded in difficulty!"
System 47398 answered in a panicked tone, "Waaaaaah!!! Host, I'm so sorry! An accident happened and the mission difficulty was raised. I'm so useless, that I don't even know what happened! Forgive me host! 😭"
Sighing in her head, Adrienne regained her composure. "Just give me my memories and the plot, please."
"Ok Host! So the world we have travelled in is the world of the popular web-novel 'What to do? My popular seatmate likes to bully me!' This is a campus novel about how Ava, an average girl attending a high-end private school ended up becoming seat mates with Matthew, the most popular and good-looking guy in school. Unfortunately, Matthew was also known for being extremely arrogant and a complete bully. She his seat mate became his latest target. After many arguments and fights they began to fall for each other. He, for her smile that was like the sun and her kindness. And her, for his occasional gentleness and protectiveness. Unfortunately, Matthew already had a childhood sweetheart. Nora Bernadotte, the only daughter of the Bernadotte family. Both Matthew and Nora's families were extremely wealthy. Their families often had had business cooperations with each other and had a good relationship. Nora was spoiled rotten by her parents leading her to develop a atrocious personality. She was madly in love with Matthew and abused her family's power to try to make Ava's life as miserable as possible. Matthew who was in love with Ava was furious. He admonished Nora in front of the entire class. Nora became the class outcast and was abandoned and hated by the entire class. Later, even her family was bankrupted by Matthew' family leading her to drop out of school and disappearing. Matthew and Ava, now having no obstacles in the way of their love, finally got together. And that's the end of the plot."
Adrienne felt surprised. "You are telling me that this type of novel is popular?"
Feeling Adrienne's apprehensiveness the system timidly answered, "…though the plot was extremely cliche the book itself was actually written very well… *Cough cough* Well I'll transfer your memories to you now."
Adrienne felt a piercing pain in her head followed by countless fragments of information flooding her mind. A couple of seconds later Adrienne… No, Evelyn Cortez opened her eyes. She watched the scene in front of her calmly. Under her breath she whispered, "this time I'll protect you."

Evelyn Cortez was just a mob character in this story who was only briefly mentioned in a single sentence as the student who scored the highest grades in the class. She, as a mob character should've had no intersection with the protagonist and live a normal life but she had a secret that wasn't mentioned in the book. Evelyn was actually an orphan who originally shouldn't have been able to attend a private school like this one, but because of Ava who recognized her intelligence, she was sponsored by the Bernadotte family. In the original plot, after graduating normally she slowly built up her power and became a well known successful businesswoman. Unfortunately, at this time it was already too late for her to even attempt saving Ava and her family as they were secretly "taken care of" by Matthew, who inherited his family's name. Evelyn who couldn't forgive both herself and the protagonists, then chose to sell part of her soul to help her save the Bernadotte family and fulfill her last wishes.
Right now the point of the plot was already at the part where Matthew was admonishing Nora. Adrienne wondered what she could do help Nora without going OOC. A fleeting thought passed her mind. 'Wait… If the main mission is just to protect Ava and prevent the Bernadotte family from going bankrupt then why did the mission difficulty upgrade?' As she was about to think more deeply about this fact, she heard a high pitched shriek. Turning her head she witnessed what looked like a mini black hole/portal suddenly appear in the middle of the classroom.
Adrienne clearly remembered this was something that wasn't supposed to happen in the story.

Voices of confusion filled the classroom. Adrienne felt like swearing.
'Is it too late to unbind with the system and not do these rigged missions?'
That was her last thought before her consciousness slowly faded away.
