Lex had noticed countless familiar faces returning to the Inn, and he also took note of the ones not coming. Fenrir was one. Harry was another. So was Qawain. Lex was incredibly conflicted.
His instinct was to pull them all back somehow. To bring them inside the Inn and protect them. But at what point would the Inn change from a sanctuary into a prison? A luxurious, rich, fun, entertaining prison, but a prison nonetheless?
Whatever they were doing that kept them from returning to the Midnight Inn, all Lex could do was respect it. Instead, he focused on continuing with the build up of his event.
One year from now, he would be allowed to interfere with New Chelsea once more. He'd then connect it to the Heavens, which would then initiate the completion phase for the Heavens. That would then take a number of years to complete.
