Three accusations. Three truths. The captain was on a streak, which was not what the council had expected. It wasn't that they were rooting against him, or that they wanted him to fail. It was just that they simply didn't think that there was any truth to these things.
After all, the very nature of the Folklore realm invited exaggeration. It wasn't only expected, it was somewhat understood that for the sake of a good story, some exaggeration was required.
But what was happening here? Not only were the wild, unbelievable stories being proven true, as it turned out the stories actually understated the extent of the captain's achievements! There was no one who had expected such a development! Not even Bob!
Meanwhile, Jack began to wonder how extensive that list really was. He personally never made such claims, but the council had already mentioned that his crew had made these claims.
