Xavier held the dead body on his hands. He looked at Cara who was now cold as ice. Her eyelids were shut, she had no pulse, no breathing. He tried to call her and shake her but there was no response. He allowed tears to escape his eyes
" You can't die right Cara? You can't die. I still need you Cara"
His tears continued wetting his face and his eyes became more red. He hugged her body tightly and screamed
" Nooooooo! Cara.... please wake up! You didn't even say goodbye... please wake up. If you wake up I promise, I won't order you around or kiss you randomly... It's a promise" he was loosing his sanity. He never knew how much he loved Cara until she was no more. The pain that he felt when she was gone made him to realize how much his feelings were strong towards her. At that time, every happy memory they shared became so real.
Suddenly, the door was opened and someone entered. He suddenly heard
" Hands on your head..." He turned around only to find Ms Erica pointing two guns at him. She gritted her teeth and spoke with a commanding tone
" Stupid asshole ... I said hands on your head." Xavier obeyed quickly and did as she commanded.
Ms Erica had escaped from her captivity and killed many guards on duty. Whoever stood on her way was already having a hole in the head. She was tired from running and wanted someone to hold as a hostage. She accidentally met Xavier and took him as her captive. Ms Erica was carrying two guns already and the other one was hidden in her pants. Looking at the CCTV cameras she spoke
" Fuck you! " She blew them off. Xavier tried to speak to her
" I know you can activate the M2V pills and---"
" Shut your fucking bowl if you don't want your brain to scatter on the floor"
He didn't care but shouted at her " well you can shoot every piece of me but what I'm going to propose to you is for the best of us." There was a moment of silence before he continued
" I'm going to help you escape but under one condition" she somehow calmed down and showed interest in the conversation. She replied boldly still pointing her guns at him
" And what is it?"
" I need you to make her live again" Xavier replied while pointing at Cara's dead body. Ms Erica smirked making the corner of her lips to twitch. She cocked her guns and held them steadily ready to fire
" Is that what you wanted to say Mister? Well ... I'm not capable of that"
" We both know that you are lying! ... For your information, I was the one given the order to kidnap you and I sent this dead lady here to do that. I know you well...I know my boss doesn't know how to activate the pills but you do. I need your help but you also need mine"
Ms Erica sighed and replied " Excuse me asshole but... I promised myself not to get involved with M2V drugs or whatever. Because even if I do that.. She must take the other pills to reduce her craving for blood and that's gonna take some Time to manufacture them"
" I'm ready for anything... just help me out. I want her to breathe again, she is the reason why I want to live... please I beg you!" Xavier replied with watery eyes, Ms Erica looked at him and shouted
" Shit!! Not this time again Erica Thompson" she held her forehead for some seconds and then spoke
" How are you going to help me escape?" Xavier sighed and was like
" I'm pretty sure that they have seen you entering this room through the CCTV cameras. So we'll have to create a good scene here" Ms Erica sighed and asked
" So what is it?"
" You will have to shoot my thigh and... I will go out screaming for help that you have escaped and shot me"
" Are you crazy or something? Do you want them to catch me?"
" No... I'm not yet done. What you are supposed to do is to stay inside this room...just hide yourself anywhere. When I get out, I'll tell them that you shot me when we were fighting and you managed to escape. So no guard will think of inspecting this room"
" Whatever....what about that dead lady"
"I'll order any guard to bring for me the first aid kit and everything that you need. None of them will doubt me since...they will see the gun wound."
" And why do you think that you will have your way? Because I know that... soon everyone in this place is going to look for me like a crazy dog. I even don't know if I can stay in this room for more than 24 hours"
Mr Hutchinson trusts me... I have never betrayed him. He also knows how I feel for Cara so it won't be hard for him to believe that I still want to be alone and grieve. And by the way, I will find where they store Oxygen tanks and hide one tank to trick them that you have escaped the island already"
" What about--"
"I'll know how to do everything... you just have to trust me."
She looked at Xavier straight in the eyes and added
" The M2V pills are not suitable for a dead person... it's only the M2V injection that can help her and it must be injected within thirty minutes after death. If she doesn't get that... you should forget about her. That's what is going to help her heart beat again and change her into a vampire"
She paused then continued "If that time passes, her heart pacemakers won't restart and her heart muscles won't contract again" she paused then asked
" At what time did she die?"
" Like ten minutes ago"
Ms Erica sighed then took a small bottle out of her brazier.
" This was the last bottle of the injection that I got, you should get the syringe for me... If you truly love her ,the remaining twenty minutes are enough for you to save her. " She touched his shoulder and pointed her gun at his right thigh and spoke
" I guess it won't hurt that much" and the next thing that was heard was a sound of a gunshot. He groaned with pain while Ms Erica spoke
" Go for it... I trust you".

* The M2V pills were created by Ms Erica Thompson at the time when she was still married to Mr Hutchinson. Mr Hutchinson and Ms Erica both shared their ideas and ended up creating the pills which had the power of changing the human species into a vampire.
