While Theo remained deeply immersed in crafting the collaborative storyboard for Kiki's Delivery Service, Ryoko was masterfully steering the studio's other heavyweight project: the television anime adaptation of Naruto.
It had been just over half a year since Theo introduced the story of the orange-clad ninja to this reality, and his publishing house, Fuji Jump, had already released eight collected tankōbon volumes. The manga had managed to achieve explosive commercial success, officially breaking into the prestigious Top 10 Best-Selling Manga charts for the month of April.
