This little woman is really getting sharper and sharper.
Alice Robinson said smugly, "I'm not falling for that… Did you hear what I just said?"
Chester Robinson lunged forward, scooped up Alice's petite body, and pressed his chin to her forehead. "Trying to play dumb?"
"You're the one playing dumb…"
He tightened his arm around her waist, coaxing in a low, tempting voice, "Do you want me to go down on one knee and propose to you like those guys on TV?"
"Sure!"
"That's such a cliché TV drama plot already."
"But I think it's pretty romantic…"
Alice had no idea she was step by step falling right into someone's trap.
"I don't want to… I'm a CEO of a whole conglomerate at least. How embarrassing would it be if someone saw me kneeling?"
"Haha…" Alice laughed freely. "Relax, no one's going to see…"
"Better not. A man's knees are worth gold—if I kneel and you still don't marry me, I might as well just wait honestly."
"Hey, how can you say I'll refuse without even trying…"
