Rebecca Quentin pushed Howard Geoffrey away harshly, glaring at him coldly, "Howard, don't talk to me in that tone! I know I won't fall for your tricks anymore!!"
Knowing getting close to her would only push her further away, Howard stood his ground, the smile fading from his face, his tone returning to its usual cold crispness, "From yesterday morning until now, you've been angry with me, no matter how much I try to reason or placate you, you refuse to have a decent conversation with me. Do you really hate me that much right now?"
"You're wrong, I don't hate you, I just despise you, despise your always self-righteous attitude... Do you think just saying a few sweet words will make me foolishly follow you like before? You overestimate yourself, Howard. No woman is foolish enough to wait loyally in place for a man who's hurt her twice. If she goes back, she won't even be able to forgive herself!!"
