Andrew cried bitterly in the crib because he was hungry...
Rebecca Quentin picked Andrew up, and the child immediately stopped crying.
Looking at the child's handsome little face, which was so much like Howard Geoffrey's, Rebecca couldn't help but give Andrew a gentle kiss on the cheek.
Andrew seemed very understanding, sensing his mother's low spirits, and placidly nestled in Rebecca's arms.
Rebecca gently placed Andrew back on the bed, softly instructing, "Good baby, mommy will make you some milk… You lie on the bed, mommy will be back quickly."
With that said, Rebecca turned and walked over to the low cabinet where the milk powder and bottles were kept.
While Rebecca was making the milk, there was a sound at the apartment door.
Thinking it was Howard Geoffrey, Rebecca spilled a bit of the milk powder from the spoon but quickly regained her composure.
She wasn't actually afraid to face him, she just didn't know how they should proceed.
