As soon as Victor Morgan came out of the study, Mrs. Morgan immediately suggested,
"Since there's nothing else to do and everyone's here, shouldn't we carry on with our Morgan family tradition?"
After she spoke, Mrs. Morgan rubbed her hands together, all ready to go.
Vera Warner was completely confused by this. She gently nudged Victor Morgan and whispered,
"What's the Morgan family tradition?"
Vera had assumed it was some grand ancestor worship ceremony, but who would worship their ancestors on New Year's Eve? She couldn't figure out what Mrs. Morgan meant.
"It's playing mahjong."
"Grandpa and Mom used to love playing mahjong. So they used the time on New Year's Eve for the family to play together, and over time, it became a Morgan family tradition."
After speaking, Victor Morgan raised an eyebrow at Vera. He was curious to see how she'd fare at mahjong, given how terrible she was at video games.
