Faye Lockwood and Luna White were overcome with sadness as they sat in the car. Once she left, there was no telling when they would ever meet again.
"Luna, no matter how busy you get after you go back, we have to stay in touch."
"And... you have to take good care of yourself. Don't work yourself too hard, no matter what happens. We'll have fun together again when we have the chance."
Faye Lockwood, sitting in the back seat, gripped Luna White's hand and spoke through her sobs.
They had been through so much together during Luna's visit. Parting so suddenly was proving to be incredibly difficult.
"Of course. You don't have to worry about me. I'll definitely take good care of myself."
"Oh, right, Timothy," she said. "Once things settle down for you two, you and Faye should come visit me. I'll be sure to give you the best hospitality. What do you say?"
Luna White gazed at Timothy Lawson's refined profile, her voice full of anticipation.
