Victor Morgan was stunned, frozen in place. He clearly hadn't expected to hear such words from Vera Warner.
After all, ever since Vera Warner had returned with Luke, she had presented herself as a powerhouse of a woman. Whether at home or in the business world, she had never once backed down.
For a woman with her disposition to suddenly want to focus on family life, it was clear that Victor Morgan's sincerity had truly moved her.
"Alright," he said. "I promise you. I'll give you the most lavish wedding in all of Aethelgard."
"I'm going to make you the happiest bride in the world."
Victor Morgan was overjoyed. He pulled the woman in his arms into a tight embrace, whispering gently.
