"So, are you happy now?"
"Mm, I guess. Fine, I'll let you off the hook this time. I won't press the issue."
"Enough talk. I'm going to continue my nap. You should get back to work. Stop slacking off all day."
With that, Vera Warner started up the stairs on her long, slender legs.
But before she could take more than two steps, Victor Morgan rushed over from behind and hoisted her onto his shoulder.
"Wh... What are you doing?"
Evidently, Vera Warner was a bit startled. 'He can't possibly want to again, can he? Is his desire really this strong in the middle of the day?'
"Nothing much. I don't have anything at the company this afternoon, so I'll join you for your nap."
"Don't worry, I know your body hasn't recovered yet. I won't do anything. We'll just take a simple nap. I'll try to come back and join you every day from now on."
He added the last part knowing that Vera Warner's body probably couldn't handle his strenuous activities for now.
