Whatever Sylvia had done in the past, she was now receiving the harshest punishment. She had been to hell and back, which could be considered penance enough.
"Sylvia, hang in there! I forgive you!"
Those final words of forgiveness were what ultimately saved Sylvia. She lived for Victor, so she would naturally listen to him.
The doctor exclaimed with an excited laugh, "It's a miracle! A true miracle! The patient's heartbeat has returned, and her vitals are starting to normalize. Mr. Morgan, your words gave her the will to live."
These words, however, put some pressure on Victor. 'So Sylvia's obsession with me runs that deep. If she stays, she'll probably cause a great deal of trouble in the future.'
'But I have other plans. I won't tell Vera what happened with Sylvia. Once her condition improves slightly, I'll send her abroad.'
'That way, I'll have saved her life, and I won't have any regrets in the future.'
