Chapter 618 - New Challenge 11

In between all of that was the clash between white Electro on one side and orange flames on the other.

They continued to clash chaotically as the two destructive forces fought hard against each other for dominance.

As they met in the middle, along with the force of the Haki pushing against each other, the very middle of the clash became all the more chaotic.

When fire and electricity are mixed, the consequences could often lead to complex phenomena.

Fire, being plasma, could conduct electricity under certain conditions due to the presence of charged particles within the flames.

The conductivity of fire would be influenced by factors such as flame temperature, the presence of ions, and the type of fuel burning.

Under those conditions, fire could conduct electricity, creating visual effects, altering flame behaviour, and creating unpredictable movement patterns.

The interaction could lead to significant consequences, especially if the interaction between them was in proximity, as it could lead to increased volatility.

Sparks, which would be brief bursts of electrical energy, could ignite a spark to a fire, resulting in an accelerated combustion process, potentially leading to a more intense fire.

The effectiveness of a spark as an ignition source could depend on several factors, including the spark's duration, energy transfer, and the surrounding environmental conditions.

As they clashed, the Electro released from Alyssia remained strong as it fought back against the flames, causing sparks to flash in various directions.

In terms of raw power, Electro seemed to have the advantage of generating heat at different temperatures, and it had the potential to manipulate various forms of matter if it was in the right hands.

Fire, on the other hand, relied on a chemical process that produces heat and light but did not have the same level of control over matter as electricity.

The clash between the two of them was both fascinating and potentially destructive, showcasing the extremes of those two forces and the consequences of the damage they could cause.

The only factor remaining was that they were not just reliant on certain chemical reactions or matter to empower them and to make use of the potential they had.

They were powers that dwelled within the bodies of those who possessed them.

The stamina and vitality of the people wielding them contributed toward empowering them and making them.

The clash of the two forces caused electrical arcs to be produced along with a screeching noise as the electrical arcs passed through various parts of the flames as they tried to pass through to reach anything that could attract or conduct it.

The sustained electric current flowed outside of its normal conductive pathway, such as in the air.

The ionised air created a conductive material known as plasma, as the flames continued to burn fiercely, through which the electric current could flow.

The arcs spreading through it existed chaotically as intense heat and light that was produced, resulting in the surrounding terrain being damaged.

If the location was not chosen to allow them to battle, then perhaps anything combustible would ignite and would result in a lot of extensive environmental or property damage.

If the battle had been in a forest, then it could be imagined how quickly a forest fire would spread from that kind of clash.

A single clash between them stopped within an instant as the following blows were directed toward each other one at a time.

They kept changing their positioning as they disappeared and reappeared just before they clashed.

Sometimes it was a foot flashing against a foot or a leg against a leg.

Other times, it was a foot or a leg clashing against a fist or an arm.

Each sudden movement caused by them from one place to the next left trails on the ground where they had stood previously, along with any steps taken.

The sudden bursts of electricity and fire had scorched the ground each time a step was taken by them.

A wide variety of different stances were displayed by both of them, showing how they both were able to adapt to their opponent and were not limited to one style of combat or form.

Alyssia could see faint shadows of all of the previous opponents that she had just fought in Una, but it seemed to be slightly more evolved and made to suit Una more.

It was almost like fighting the disciples of a dojo and experiencing each one before finally fighting the master of that dojo, who had taught those disciples and had gained their own enlightenment through the process in their own martial path.

Just when it seemed like they were about to make a casual move against each other again, they switched things up a little by adding something that would be mixed in to shake up their opponent a little.

Alyssia would flick out air bullets along with Electro while doing the same for slicing wind attacks that would allow the Electro to travel further than before.

Una would make similar movements, but her attacks carried her flames with them as they were shot toward Alyssia.

It was not just a battle of martial arts and Haki anymore, as it included a lot more complicated tactics that could be made use of to overwhelm the other side.

While such powers were still very dangerous in many ways, they were not inherently dangerous against Haki users.

While Haki was a powerful spiritual energy that could block or counteract the effects of electricity or other effects, it did not make the user immune to its effects.

In fact, characters like Carrot and Inuarashi had demonstrated the ability to use Electro effectively against opponents with Haki.

The effectiveness of Electro against Haki users would depend on the user's mastery of Haki and their ability to channel it effectively to block or counter the electricity.

The same could be said for other powers, whether they were Devil Fruit abilities, inherent abilities or special techniques.

The two powers were held off, but the effects of them were not completely kept away each time they clashed.

The arcs of Electro that spread out and passed through the flames had sometimes made contact with different parts of the body of Una, who used her Armament Haki to guard against them.

Even without Haki protecting the areas that it made contact with, the direct or indirect effects of the Electro were reduced by what seemed to be an ability that seemed close to having high fire or heat resistance or something greater, like an immunity to them.

If someone were hit by Alyssia's Electro even slightly, they would likely be burned enough to suffer skin damage, and the heat created from it could cause other forms of harm to them.

Those effects could be resisted more with that type of resistance or immunity, but it did not mean that Alyssia's attacks were completely useless.

An electric shock would occur when electricity flows through the body, and the risk of injury would be generally greater with higher voltages.

While individuals with fire immunity powers would have a higher threshold for an electric shock, they would not be immune to the effects of an electric current.

Even low-voltage batteries could generate enough power to cause a fire or explosion in an explosive atmosphere.

Therefore, the attacks of Alyssia could not be underestimated.

The only thing that she had to worry about was if the Electro was able to bypass the scales of Una, who was in her awakened form.

The intense heat coming off the flames and the sparks of fire that were blown around were still able to reach Alyssia enough to make her think back to the time she had spent on islands like the hot half of Punk Hazard.

Although Alyssia had exposed herself to heat and fire a lot while visiting such hot islands, she could still not fully build up enough resistance to be completely immune to the effects of the heat coming off the flames that seemed as hot as magma.

Just as Alyssia had techniques to aid with her usage of Electro, Una had her own techniques that had been created to aid with her usage of her fire.
