Seeing the appearance, Alyssia became even more excited for the fight that was ahead of her. "Oh wow. Is this an awakened Zoan? It is my first time encountering one this close."
Una looked up once the transformation was completed. "You did not attack during the transformation process. How boring."
Alyssia shrugged in response. "Hey, give me a little credit, will you? I am not someone like that! I have my own rules and etiquette when it comes to fighting, you know!"
With all of her years of picking fights to earn points, she had developed a way of approaching fighting with others, and that had not changed at any time up to the present.
There were certain things that she would not resort to, and ambushing an opponent as they were powering up or unleashing an ultimate attack was not one of them.
Most would think it would be the smartest and most effective move to strike during such a critical moment, but not her.
There was no need for her to do such a thing since it would take all of the fun out of the fight.
Ending things too soon by taking advantage of such moments would only reduce the time she could spend fighting such people, whom she would be able to fight properly with.
If she had things to gain through fighting such people, then she would not waste such an opportunity that was right in front of her.
She would draw such a fight out for as long as she could so that she could experience everything that her opponent would have to offer her.
That was why she was able to reach her current stage, since she had been absorbing everything that was available to her and kept evolving through each new experience.
Alyssia puffed up her cheeks as she pouted a little before putting on a more serious gaze and taking on a fighting stance. "I lost a little energy there, but I can fight right away. I might not have the same thing as you guys, but this will have to do."
She put her hand in her clothing and pulled out a small, round ball that was brown and looked like chocolate.
She threw it into her mouth and swallowed it, resulting in her licking the outside of her mouth in delight. "Ah... there it is. That addictive rush of flavour and energy."
Her fast metabolism kicked in, causing her to regain her energy quite quickly as a result of her eating the food that had been developed further by using the Boin Archipelagos food as the inspiration for developing many other high-energy and nutrient-rich foods that were smaller in size.
The taste was very sweet, and it still came with a unique, addictive kick to it that made anyone want to have more of them, but the effects of that part of it had been reduced to a safer and controllable level.
Once Alyssia felt fully recharged, her Electro flared up around her body, matching the display of fire coming off Una. "Shall we begin?"
As if they had both understood the intent behind the other, they both moved instantly from the spot they had previously been standing.
Electro burst forth from underneath the feet of Alyssia, causing her to speed up dramatically.
Fire burst forth from underneath the feet of Una, causing her to be propelled forward faster than her natural body could achieve on its own.
The flames that surrounded Una seemed to follow her every movement as if it bended around her under her expert control.
It was the fire manipulation ability that Una possessed as a part of her Salamander abilities, but that was not all.
The skills she had honed over a very long time had been purchased by Alyssia, but she could not make full use of them even when making use of her Inferna technique.
What made Alyssia most excited about the battle was that she was finally facing a good enough challenge that was not just someone she chose for the sake of her growth to hone her martial arts and her types of Haki.
She was finally able to step into a fight where martial arts, powers, Haki, special techniques and Devil Fruit abilities would be intertwined.
Perhaps the Devil Fruit abilities would not play that great a role in that level of a fight, but it could make the fights all the more interesting.
It was especially the case when it came to more powerful Devil Fruits that could make a much bigger difference in combat, allowing the power of one person to be amplified far beyond what they could achieve without it.
Most of her fights so far had mainly been against opponents who did not have a special power or Devil Fruit power, so she was able to focus primarily on a fight against those types of opponents.
When fighting such opponents, she rarely ever got to make use of her Electro unless the difficulty against such people was too great, as the gap between herself and them was too wide.
The only other times that she made use of it were when it was convenient to do so or if she was feeling like she wanted to play around with it.
The current situation was very different from those times, as Una seemed to be capable of fighting against her, but still had such abilities to rely on that would only make her more dangerous.
It was finally time for her to pull out her Electro after so long, so that she could test it out in a fight that would be at her current level.
Alyssia clicked her tongue while muttering under her breath. "Damn. It feels like I am fighting a fire bender."
She could feel the heat of the flames as they grew closer.
If it were not for the heat exposure training to train her resistance to it, then perhaps she would have been a little more fearful of what was coming her way.
The distance closed instantly as a tiny space was left between the two feet that slammed into each other, but did not make contact with each other.
The strong, overpowering Conqueror's Haki and Armament Haki of both of them clashed in that instant, causing the clouds above to split apart.
