Just as he was reaching those limits, Alyssia stepped back and no longer attacked as if she had already sensed him faltering in such a manner.
The difference in overall body capabilities between the two of them may not have been all that much, but it was still enough to leave her still able to fight.
What counted just as much was how she had not used her full physical abilities since she had been trying to fight against him on more equal terms, so that she could experience the difference in Haki and the experience between them.
Those conditions allowed her to push herself to improve her own capabilities in combat, whether it was her mastery over her usage of her martial arts and her Haki.
After winning the battle, she gained quite a lot of points that she could begin spending once again.
The remaining time that she spent there, she used it to challenge Gaban and Shanks to several battles each day to push herself further to the point of reaching a whole new stage of power and mastery over what she had learned.
It got to the point where she no longer felt like she needed to continue wearing her greaves to protect herself when confronting Shanks' sword and Gaban's axes.
She would occasionally harass others for duels just to test out new things and to earn some more points.
The points she did obtain were sometimes used to purchase skills that had not yet been purchased or mastered completely, along with some unique skills that belonged to each person that seemed to be quite useful to her.
The crew of Shanks was one of the best crews that could be found on the seas when it came to natural abilities that were not given to them through eating a Devil Fruit.
They never ate one and were still strong and capable enough to be able to support Shanks to become one of the Four Emperors.
Such people were praiseworthy for being able to do so, and they made good targets for Alyssia to update her system with their various skills and knowledge.
If she was feeling up to it, then she would change things up a little to practice some other skills, like her mastery over her scythe-like and staff weapons.
Sometimes she would focus solely on them in combat, while she would choose to use a style of combat that incorporated kicking with her usage of such weapons.
It was quite some time she spent there, as it was a cycle of partying, fighting and absorbing what she could from everything she had gained recently.
There were even times when she asked Shanks and Gaban to fight her together just so that she could push herself a little further to practice applying her other layered techniques and Electro into her every movement.
The last day of staying there had come closer, and three shadows kept flickering around the forest.
Two of those figures were Shanks and Gaban, who were chasing after the trail of Alyssia.
Two axes were being flung around at times while cleaving toward her, while various sword techniques were sent toward her.
Each one carried great destructive power as if they could destroy anything in their path.
The form of Alyssia was like a ghost or a mirage as she disappeared and reappeared in another place.
She was completely free from all restraints she had put on herself and was able to test out the fullest of her potential.
The physical aspects of herself that she had always held back to fight, eventually with her opponents, were no longer suppressed, and she was able to let everything loose.
Even without using her Electro or Inferna techniques, she was still able to move so fast that it made it difficult for the combined efforts of Gaban and Shanks to hit her.
It was less of a sparring session or a duel, as it seemed more like a game of tag they were playing.
She was sliding across the ground, rolling, flipping, cartwheeling, hand standing and jumping in all kind of ways as she had showcased great control over her body even when moving at such a high speed.
Her weight distribution and balance were perfect as she was able to still pull off more difficult movements to adjust to changing her direction during times when an attack was about to come at her.
Her three Haki had been pushed to their absolute limitations during the past couple of days.
Fighting a battle that she was at a disadvantage in caused her to have to face her opponents without avoiding them, so that she could absorb what she could from them when it came to having to overcome the dangers presented to her.
Those dangers she put herself in had helped her to hone her Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki, but it did not work so well for her Observation Haki, which would be used toward avoiding those dangers.
The pressure created by Shanks and Gaban allowed her to work on that area, resulting in her reaching her present state, where she could move around without being touched by them.
Her body continued to keep up the swaying motions as if she were performing a ginga movement that would often be seen in capoeira or other similar styles of fighting and dance.
Each of her movements was very acrobatic, making use of flowing and complex manoeuvres which quite suited her style of fighting.
With the newly attained techniques she had been honing, such a style became easier to master and make use of even at much higher speeds due to her ability to work on parts of her body that were previously ignored or were less able to support her during such movements.
It took some training, but her individual parts of her body were a lot more reliable, even if she could not make use of all of those that supported them.
She could still gain control over her body and present stance to keep herself from being unable to stop her momentum in certain directions, so that she could keep herself stable enough to instantly change her stance and path of travel.
Even if she could not change her direction or stop herself by grounding herself, she could still make use of her insane physical capabilities and techniques to create enough force to propel her body in another direction or to alter the trajectory ever so slightly in a way that would get her out of harm's way.
A simple flick of a toe, finger or her wrist or ankle would be enough for such times while she still had her tail to rely on.
The smallest movement that seemed insignificant could affect her life and death in a moment of crisis, and that had been shown through her every movement as if she were dancing around in the face of death.
The future could be seen as her path was obstructed in many ways.
She could see herself having the distance between herself and them closed.
She could see each strike of theirs closing in on her as they cornered her.
She avoided each of them, but as she was doing that, she was only narrowing down her options for the future.
It would not be long before she would begin blocking or have some close calls, which could inflict minor wounds on her so that she could continue to avoid any major injuries.
She could have raised her Haki to protect herself, but the aim was to work on her Observation and evasion more.
She could see their weapons coming at her, so she considered how to proceed.
They were forcing her to remain closer within their reach as they pushed forward.
If they kept pushing, then she would continue to be pushed, just as there was an option for her to back off and create more distance between them.
It seemed like a good option in most cases, but that was not what she wanted from the battle.
Running away was always an option, but it was always the easier option.
