Puente Antiguo – The Power of Thunder

The air seemed to split apart.

From the distant horizon, cutting through layers of dust and wind, something surged forward with unstoppable speed—a hammer.

Mjolnir.

It flew like a streak of silver lightning, tearing through the night sky, dragging a roaring current of air behind it. The ground beneath trembled faintly as if responding to its arrival.

Thor lay motionless on the ground, his body bruised and broken. The weight of defeat pressed heavily upon him, but deep inside, something stirred.

Suddenly—

His eyes snapped open.

Instinctively, his hand shot forward.

The hammer slammed into his palm.

The moment his fingers wrapped around the handle—

BOOM!

A blinding explosion of lightning erupted outward.

Thunder roared.

Electric arcs burst in all directions, crackling violently, illuminating the battlefield in flashes of white-blue light. The air was filled with sharp, splitting sounds—pā lā! pā lā!—as if the sky itself had fractured.

Everyone present froze.

The sheer power was overwhelming.

Thor rose slowly from the ground.

His body was enveloped in lightning, armor forming piece by piece over his form, a crimson cloak snapping wildly behind him in the wind. His presence changed instantly—from a defeated man to a true god.

---

"Such powerful lightning…" a voice suddenly echoed from within the storm.

"Wonderful. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time."

A faint chuckle followed.

"Thor… thank you."

The words seemed to come from inside the lightning itself.

Everyone was stunned.

"Where did that voice come from?" someone muttered.

Jane's brows furrowed deeply.

"That voice… it sounds like…"

She hesitated.

Pepper's lips curved into a cold, knowing smile.

"There's no need to guess," she said calmly.

"That's Jack."

Her tone carried sharp mockery.

"The 'good person' Tom in your eyes."

Jane froze.

"What did you say?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

"I told you already," Pepper said flatly. "Tom is Jack. It's just that you refused to believe me."

She looked at Jane steadily.

"In a moment, you'll realize how wrong you were."

Jane shook her head instinctively.

"I don't believe it," she whispered.

"How could Tom be Jack…?"

Darcy also shook her head in disbelief.

"Jack? You mean Humanity's Public Enemy?"

She pointed toward Jack's direction.

"That's impossible. Tom and Jack are completely different people."

Pepper gave a cold laugh.

"Believe whatever you want."

Then she looked directly at Jane.

"But I know one thing for sure—you will regret giving your feelings to the enemy of humanity."

Jane said nothing.

But her heart was already beginning to shake.

---

"What's going on with that voice?" Volstagg asked loudly, gripping his weapon.

Sif stared at the storm of lightning surrounding Thor.

"Perhaps it has something to do with this 'Jack' they mentioned," she said.

"Wait until the lightning settles—we'll know the truth."

Fandral smiled confidently.

"Now that Thor has his hammer back, he's invincible. There's nothing to worry about."

---

From within the storm of lightning, Thor's voice suddenly roared out.

"Damn it!"

"Let go of my power!"

"The power of the God of Thunder is not something you can withstand!"

Another voice responded immediately, filled with arrogance.

"Let go?"

A low chuckle echoed.

"I've waited so long for this moment. Why would I let go now?"

Thor's voice grew angrier.

"You've been deceiving us all this time!"

"Who exactly are you?!"

The mysterious voice laughed.

"Who am I?"

---

Jane stood frozen.

That voice…

It was unmistakable.

It was Tom.

But—

No…

That's impossible.

It can't be him…

---

"Do you feel it?" Hogun said suddenly.

"The lightning… it's getting weaker."

Fandral's expression changed.

"Is someone… absorbing it?"

"That's impossible!"

"No one can withstand that level of power!"

---

"Get away from me!" Thor roared.

A powerful shockwave burst outward.

The lightning exploded in all directions—

Then suddenly vanished.

---

Thor stood there.

Fully armored.

His cloak fluttered behind him.

Mjolnir rested firmly in his hand.

He breathed heavily, his chest rising and falling.

---

A voice sounded again.

"Not bad, Thor."

"In that hammer… half of the power of the God of Thunder."

"And I've taken it."

Everyone turned toward the source of the voice.

Their eyes widened in shock.

"What… is that…?"

---

Jack.

He floated in the air, three meters above the ground.

His entire body glowed with dazzling light.

Lightning crackled around him wildly, wrapping around his figure like living serpents. He looked like a god descending from the heavens.

Of course—

He was no god.

But the power surrounding him was undeniably divine.

He had forcibly absorbed part of Thor's lightning.

---

"This must be a joke…" Sif muttered.

"That man…" Fandral gripped his sword tightly. "He stole Thor's power."

---

Suddenly—

BOOM!

The Destroyer moved again.

A blazing beam shot toward Thor.

Thor roared.

"Tom—!"

"We'll settle this later!"

Then he charged forward.

Mjolnir slammed into the Destroyer's body.

---

Jane stepped forward slowly.

Her eyes were fixed on Jack.

"Tom…" she said softly.

Her voice trembled.

"Tell me…"

"Who are you?"

"Don't lie to me…"

Jack smiled faintly.

"Jane," he said calmly.

"I won't lie to you."

"Then tell me!" she shouted suddenly.

Her voice broke.

"I…"

Jack looked directly at her.

"I am Jack."

---

"No…"

Jane stepped back.

"That's not true…"

Her head shook.

"Tom… you wouldn't lie to me… right?"

Jack raised his hand.

A faint green light flashed across his face.

The disguise faded.

His true appearance was revealed.

---

Darcy's face turned pale instantly.

"It's really him…"

"It's exactly the same as on TV…"

---

Jane's heart shattered.

"Why…?"

Her voice was filled with pain.

"Why did you lie to us?"

Tears filled her eyes.

"Is this your idea of fun?"

"Watching the people you deceive… does that make you happy?"

Pepper watched silently, a trace of sympathy flashing in her eyes.

"He'll get what he deserves," she said coldly.

Jane turned toward Pepper.

"You were right…"

Her voice trembled.

"Pepper… you're the Pepper from Stark Industries… right?"

Pepper nodded.

"He changed my appearance," she said.

"This isn't my real face."

---

Sif and the others stepped forward.

Their eyes were filled with hostility.

"This man is dangerous," Sif said coldly.

"In Midgard, he's just like Loki."

Volstagg snorted.

"You dare steal the power of the God of Thunder?"

Hogun clenched his fists.

"This cannot be forgiven."

---

Jack looked at Jane calmly.

"Jane," he said.

"I told you… my true identity wouldn't scare you."

"It wouldn't affect our friendship."

"You believed that, didn't you?"

---

Jane laughed coldly.

"Do you think I would believe you now… Jack?"

Her expression was filled with pain and bitterness.

"You… the most wanted man in the world…"

"You pretended to be friends with someone like me…"

She shook her head.

"That's truly… an honor."

---

Jack raised an eyebrow.

"I still believe you will."

---

"You think I will believe you?" Jane said.

"From this moment on…"

"There is nothing between us anymore."

Her eyes trembled slightly.

Inside—

She was hurting.

Why did it end like this…

---

Jack smiled.

"Such heartless words."

---

Sif, Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg stepped forward together.

"Jack," Sif said coldly.

"What you've done to Thor is unforgivable."

"And it's clear you are an evil man."

"We will punish you."

---

Jack shook his head slightly.

"You really look down on me."

"Punish me?"

He smiled faintly.

"Just the four of you?"

---

"Hateful!" Sif shouted.

"Don't underestimate us!"

She leapt forward.

Charging toward Jack.
