Miss Danester was in a rather bad state, so Shard struggled to support her as they took two steps back. The library scene in the Star Ocean was once again covered by the thick mist that surged in. Taking two more steps back, they exited through the double Holy Silver doors.
White mist poured out from the cracks of the door, enveloping it. After the mist dispersed, the door summoned by the ritual vanished as well. The Wordless Black Book and Yellow Moon Tablet fell to the floor, and the gems, diamonds, and rare materials used in the ritual all turned to powder.
The ritual, valued at 400,000 Gold Pounds, ended just like that. Shard believed that although Miss Danester was indeed wealthy, it would be impossible for her to perform this ritual again at will. And even though Shard had obtained crucial information from the ritual, he couldn't conceive of spending 400,000 Gold Pounds to gain such knowledge if he had it.
