[It has been eight months since successful augmentation]
That's right, I've been here for eight months. I quickly learned that this wasn't a dream while I was in a comatose state. It was real life.
"Thank you, Helix" I spoke to the voice in my head, "Who's Helix?" Spoke a voice behind me. I looked back and saw my friend, Jorge-052, one of my favourite characters in Halo.
"no one, Jorge, just me talking to myself," I said to him, "you do that a lot, you know?" Jorge said while sitting next to me, with his food, "how was training for you, Jorge?" I asked while taking a bite out of my food.
"Same as always," he said while putting salt on his food "what some?" I nodded and took the salt, "by same as always, you mean, one of the best in the class?" I said putting the salt down.
"You're one to talk, Russ, you get top 5 all the time" I nodded at his statement. I am only this good because of Helix, my system.

While staring at my status, Jorge waved his big hand in front of me, "You good, Russ? You were staring at nothing for a while" I looked at Jorge and smiled.
"I'm at tip-top shape, big guy" after I said that, I heard a commotion a few tables away. I looked at what was happening and saw a teen carrying a tray of crackers.
"Guess John gets crackers again," Jorge said next to me. That's right, just a few tables down was the main character from almost all of the Halo games, John-117, I decided to not interact with him too much, just in case I change him for the worse.
John was complaining about how he came first but still lost. This happened because he left his team behind and went alone, just like how I remembered. The difference this time is, this time, Jorge and I won with our team. Speaking of them, here they come.
Four people came to the table, in order of who sat down there was:
A very light blond girl named Naomi-010, a smart and quiet girl, doesn't fit in with any other SPARTANS, so, I decided to make her an offer to join our group, to which she excitedly agreed too.
Another blond girl named Alice-130, I remembered her from Halo: wars, and knew she was smart and strong and, like Jorge, had quite the love for heavy machine guns. I invited her to our group along with her friends, Douglas and Jerome.
The man who came next had short brown hair, his name is Douglas-042, he, like Alice, is from Halo: wars, he is strong and could almost be called a battle junkie. He has a fondness for large explosive weapons.
The final person to come over had short dark hair, his name is Jerome-092, he is also from Halo: wars, he is strong and smart, which is why he will become the leader of Red team one day. He is quite fond of large mechs.
Naomi sat next to me, while the other three sat together. "What took you guys so long to get here?" Jorge asked, to which Douglas started to snicker, "we were watching John do his punishment," he stuffed his face with food, "I'll tell ya, it was funny. Even Nao was giggling" I looked at Naomi and she just got red a little and turned away.
I placed my hand on her head "don't worry Naomi, he was being a selfish prick. No need to hide it" Naomi got redder and nodded her head.
Douglas started speaking with a mouth full of food " hehe, I think Nao has a crus-" Alice had slammed her elbow in Douglas's ribs "don't speak with your mouth full" we all started laughing at what happened.
This life may not be so bad. Let's hope it stays this way
