"This skill..." Tons of possibilities popped into my head. I could use this area for so much! I could train my body, my skills, I could even become the strongest being on this planet! But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how dumb it was.
If I could stronger than dragons this way, why aren't the humans on earth? Especially those who spend their whole life working out? And if this skill was that omnipotent, why did the god who originally owned die? It just doesn't make sense.
The most clear cut way I see myself getting stronger is by leveling up. If my system is anything like normal systems, I'll have to kill monsters to level. Since I don't think there are any monsters in the training realm, it wouldn't work out. "Aw man, I wanted to super op before I went out!"
Dejected, I decide to look under the other menus in my system, starting with the quest menu. I'm fairly certain I know what the other two have, but I'm curious as to see what my daily quests have.

I pull up the basic healing magic skill to see if it's possible.

Suddenly, an influx of info entered my head. As all this info cluttered my brain, I felt a sharp pain, as if thousands of stones were hitting my from the inside. While this pain would have been unbearable for the old me and would've most likely passed out, this was nothing compared to the pain that came from the awakening of the system. After a few seconds, the pain was gone, and that it left me with was shock.
'So this is essence! How fascinating!'
From the info dump I just had, I understood the basics when it comes to essence.
First, all living beings are born with essence, no matter how big or how small. However, certain species have more essence than others. For example, a human baby would have way less essence than say, a dragon baby.
Second, essence can be thought of as a muscle. If you keep working it out, it'll naturally get thicker. The thicker your essence is, the more you can do with it. However, you can specialize your essence to do certain things better. For example, if you compare a gymnast to a martial artist, the gymnast would be more flexible while the martial artist has more power.
Third, your essence does not naturally increase. You need to actively increase it in order for it to get stronger. As for how to increase it, you need to find a technique for that. My system, for example, allows me to increase my essence by killing enemies and absorbing a portion of their essence. A cultivator might use a cultivation technique to grow their essence. There is a myriad of ways to increase your essence, but it needs to be noted that you can only use one. Any other ways after that simply won't work.
Forth, each world has its own amount of essence. A world where many essence users exists usually has more essence than one where few exist. This is because the world absorbs the excess essence left behind anytime essence is used. The more essence a world holds, the easier it is for the inhabitants to increase their own essence.
Fifth, due to the essence in a being's body, they all have an organ known as the essence flow, similar to the circulatory system. The essence flow is what holds the being's essence and also what allows them to control their essence. If you focus the essence flow to a certain part of your body, the essence flows to that part of your body, allowing you to use it.
Finally, there are 3 ways to use essence. Using it to create, or cast spells. Using it to strength yourself, increasing speed (AGI), strength (STR), or control (DEX). And finally, manifesting it on your weapon, or in later stages, even creating an essence weapon of your own. Most people specialize in either one or two of these, due to both the first fact and basic talent. My system, however, bypasses this and allows me to use all three to their strongest degree.
Wow! Essence is so...interesting! No wonder even the weakest gods can destroy planets! If someone masters essence, they could do so much more! Suddenly, two system prompts appeared in front me.

I concentrate on getting all the essence into the palm of my hand. After doing this for a few minutes, the flow slowly started moving to the palm of my hand. I keep concentrating. The process might be slow, but it's still happening! After about a little more than an hour, I finally felt some essence concentrate on the palm of my hand.
Sensing this, I say "Heal!" Warm, green energy escapes from the palm of my hand. "It actually worked! Ha!" But the casting is still not over yet. Even if the essence has left my body, I still feel it as a part of the flow of essence. I move the essence as it hits my body, making me feel the most comfortable I've ever been.
I did it! I cast my very first spell! I can't believe it! I would have never thought that I, a normal person, would ever be able to cast magic! But here I am!
I was debating on whether to cast the spell a few more times, but decided against it. I need to get on to my daily quests after all!
