What they found was someone else who made a small mistake while they were in a hurry to run away from the god of dreams.
This mistake was something small. Someone who was in a hurry to cross the road forgot to look properly and was struck by a rushing carriage.
The horses pulling the carriage crashed into the man and were crippled. However, despite how ghastly the crash was, the person suffered no injuries.
For the people that witnessed this event, they simply thought that the person that was struck was an extraordinary being. Even Legion thought so too.
By the looks of things, the person was a godclad, and a powerful one at that. But this was enough to draw Legion's attention, so they sent a virtual copy to check the person.
