"I wonder where his Summoner is, though. Cliff's, I mean," Leon suddenly wondered aloud, changing the topic after a brief moment of silence. "Or maybe he's still searching for them. That's pretty common around here."
"Must be… rough," Ardyn said hesitantly. "I guess some Summoners and Guardians take a long time to find each other."
"It sometimes depends on the Summoner's determination," Leon explained. "If their will is strong enough and they choose to follow the signs, they can find their Guardians easily. Money plays a big role, too, which is why the government usually funds these travels. That's how important a Summoner is."
"Sounds like a big burden," Ardyn remarked. "Evan… he had a huge burden on his shoulders too, being the Prince and all."
"He did," Leon said somberly. "He had a lot of responsibilities to carry, but he fulfilled all of his duties faithfully. He was perfect as the prince and the future king of this land. Elyana, too. They were really ideal for each other."
