Chapter 570 - Ch 189 - An Unbelievable Spectacle (2)

The massive Bear King rampaged like a walking catastrophe. His enormous frame bulldozed through ranks of Xue Hun Manor warriors as if they were reeds in a flood.

The blades struck his hide, sparks flying, yet barely scratched the surface as his bones were like iron and his flesh like stone.

Beside him, the Tiger King moved with terrifying grace, golden fur flashing like lightning.

The Lion King roared, his mane bristling as shockwaves rippled outward.

The three Beast Kings did not simply attack; they dismantled the enemies together.

They charged straight into the heart of the Xue Hun Manor's formation, tore through it, and then wheeled around like seasoned generals. Their movements were deliberate with each crash and pivot, cutting the formation into smaller fragments.

First, they divided into two groups, and then four.

Warriors who had moments ago shouted bravely now found themselves isolated, surrounded by snarling Xuan Beasts whose eyes gleamed with savage delight.

The panic spread faster than the beasts themselves as continuous screams of despair rose into the heavens.

On the hilltop, the watching Great Masters stood frozen as their eyes had nearly popped from their sockets.

'What's going on?... This is extremely unreasonable!'

"So, that's how it was! I finally understand!" The Solitary Falcon exclaimed suddenly, twirling a strand of his hair with exaggerated enlightenment.

"You understand?" Bu Kuang Feng snapped irritably. "What do you understand? Quickly explain to this old man!"

"Master Bu, can't you see?" Solitary Falcon pointed triumphantly toward the carnage below. "Great Master Li had planned a purge for his Xue Hun Manor! And, he had also involved the Silver Blizzard City in it! Li Jue Tian's original plan was — 'I'm not feeling well about some guys. And you're not feeling any better about a few of yours. But I have a way of making us feel good even though we're feeling sad right now. And their devastation would make me happy!' Can't you see it, Master Bu? It's so obvious..."

Lei Bao Yu and Bu Kuang Feng spat in contempt almost simultaneously.

'Fool!' Their expressions screamed at him. 'Can't you see how shocked Li Jue Tian is?'

Why would he purge his own Xue Hun Manor?

This place was his life's work, and its importance in his heart was second only to his son, Li Teng Yun.

Li Jue Tian was ruthless, but he was no idiot.

'But so... then, how was this happening?'

The mysterious man behind them nearly laughed aloud, though he restrained himself with visible effort. His shoulders trembled faintly beneath the dark robe.

Li Teng Yun stood pale as paper. His lips quivered, and his eyes were nearly vacant, fixed upon the massacre below.

He suddenly felt an eerie numbness creeping into his legs.

Li Jue Tian's fists clenched so tightly his knuckles whitened as rage surged like lava beneath his calm exterior. He would have been a complete fool not to realize he had been played.

But who possessed such heaven-defying ability that they could command the Beast Kings to perform this monstrous farce?

"Argh!"

A blood-curdling scream split the air.

One of Xue Hun Manor's Spirit Xuan experts had been struck squarely by the Bear King's palm and leg. The blood exploded from his body as bones cracked audibly, yet the Bear only grinned viciously and advanced.

A heavy punch landed, followed by another.

Bang! Bang!

Each impact sounded like timber snapping under immense weight.

The Bear's leg lashed out again, shattering the other man's limbs. Still unsatisfied, he delivered a savage kick to the lower back.

A severed leg flew skyward, trailing blood like a crimson banner.

The broken body followed, still twitching in midair, blood pouring from every orifice.

The Bear leapt and caught him before he delivered two final punches midair.

Bang! Bang!

The snapping sounds were crisp and distinct.

Li Jue Tian trembled and involuntarily took a step forward. His lips parted slightly, pain flashing across his face before he suppressed it.

But the mysterious man was watching him, and he even tilted his head slightly.

It was a silent warning.

If Li Jue Tian intervened, then they would step in.

And the Lord of Tian Fa had not yet appeared.

That absence made the situation even more dangerous.

Below, flesh and blood painted the earth, and the screams of disciples he had personally trained clawed at his ears.

Several times, he nearly opened his mouth to concede defeat, but he restrained himself with sheer willpower.

His face remained tranquil and cold, as if the slaughtered men were strangers.

He was the Second Great Master.

To admit defeat would shatter his prestige.

And beyond that, he would need the consent of the unseen Lord of Tian Fa.

After what had just occurred, seeking such consent would be laughable.

'Impossible...'

So Li Jue Tian inwardly prayed.

'Why don't they just run away if they aren't a match for the enemy? The Xuan Beasts wouldn't chase them to the ends of the earth to kill them, right? They only want a victory at this point; that's all.'

But they had not fled at the beginning.

And now, it was too late.

The encirclement tightened mercilessly.

The trap he had set for Jun Wu Yi had reversed upon him with terrifying precision.

He had intended to steal a chicken, but instead, he lost the rice.

No, he had lost the entire jar.

The three Xuan Beast Kings stood amidst the chaos like sovereigns surveying a feast.

Their enormous forms were splattered with blood, yet their eyes were clear, sharp, and calculating.

With deliberate precision, they split the remaining three thousand seven hundred Xuan Beasts into multiple assault groups. Signals were exchanged through roars, gestures, and subtle movements of claws and tails.

What followed was not a wild stampede but a well-coordinated hunt.

The remnants of Xue Hun Manor were collapsing.

Seven hundred had charged out boldly, but now barely two hundred remained.

They were compressed into a shrinking circle, backs pressed together, blades flashing desperately in every direction. Their breathing had grown ragged, and their formations had shattered long ago as blood soaked their robes.

The Silver Blizzard City's forces had not yet suffered casualties, but that did not mean they were faring well. Their individual strength far exceeded that of Xue Hun Manor's average warriors, yet even steel dulled under relentless pounding.

Their movements were slowing.

Their strikes no longer carried the same crisp sharpness as fatigue was creeping in like poison.

The Third, Sixth, and Ninth Elders had joined forces with the famed Seven Swords of Silver City, forming a tightly interlocked defensive ring. Their blades wove silver arcs through the air, crossing and countering in perfect rhythm. Together, their combined strength surpassed that of ten Spirit Xuan experts.

Every time a Xuan Beast lunged, it was met with a coordinated barrage of sword light and condensed Xuan Qi.

Inside that ring stood Xiao Han and Mu Xue Tong.

Though protected, they were hardly helpless. Their own cultivation surged outward, reinforcing weak points, striking at openings, preventing breaches.

Yet that was all they could do.

Xiao Han's breathing had grown harsh, and his eyes were bloodshot. The veins bulged along his temples as he stared beyond the encirclement, toward the distant figure seated calmly in a wheelchair.

Xiao Han's fingers dug into his palms until blood seeped through.

"Why?" He roared suddenly, his voice cracking. "Why are so many Xuan Beasts present here when none are attacking Jun Wu Yi? Why hasn't that cripple died yet? I want him dead! Why isn't he dead?! Jun Wu Yi! Why aren't you dead?! Argh...!"

His shout was half rage, half hysteria.

Mu Xue Tong shot him a sharp glance. "Control yourself!"

But Xiao Han's composure had long since shattered.

For ten years, Jun Wu Yi had wanted to kill him.

And for ten years, Xiao Han had wanted the same.

He had come here prepared to witness Jun Wu Yi's final moments. He had imagined it countless times, the crippled general surrounded, overwhelmed, trampled into dust.

He had rehearsed the satisfaction and vindication.

And yet, Jun Wu Yi sat in his wheelchair amid two Level Nine Xuan Beasts that seemed to be playing with him.

The beasts roared, pounced, raised dust and shockwaves, yet none of their attacks landed.

It was like watching a grotesque mockery of battle.

Xiao Han's teeth ground audibly.

"Why aren't they killing him?" He hissed. "Why are they killing ours instead?!"
