Tokyo Jujutsu High sat in the mountains above the city. Its buildings were traditional in construction. With dark timber and sloped rooflines, it had the architecture of buddhist temples rather than a school. Statues of deities marked pathways between buildings. Torii gates rose at intervals throughout the campus. Shrines occupied quiet corners where the trees grew densest.

The people inside it were another matter.

The main hall had been cleared as every semi-grade one sorcerer and above had been assembled in front of Principal Masamichi Yaga.

Yaga was a large dark-skinned man with close-cropped hair. A mustache, clean shaven sides and a goatee framing his face. He wore a white shirt with a black jacket. Behind him, a map of Tokyo was projected with a containment zone marked in red.

"Thank you all for gathering on short notice," he said, scanning the assembled sorcerers. "At 5: 45 am, a cursed energy spike was sensed by sorcerers and non-sorcerers across a large portion of tokyo. Animals and civilians within a five hundred meter radius of the source were rendered unconscious. Vivid Hallucinations were reported across a one kilometer spread."

The room was quiet.

Cursed energy reserves large enough to knock out civilians who couldn't even see curses. Reserves large enough to be felt across Tokyo. The scale of it scared even the most hardened sorcerers.

Atsuya Kusakabe broke first. "What's the cover story for the public?"

"A CO2 gas pipe was damaged in the area," Yaga said. "High concentrations of it acted as an asphyxiant by displacing oxygen, knocking the civilians out. While Impurities in the gas caused the hallucinations."

"Clean enough for the japanese public" Mei Mei's voice was composed as always, her large purple eyes moving across the map with professional interest. "What caused the actual spike?"

"We don't know." Yaga's jaw tightened slightly. "At 5:50 pm, the cause vanished. Whatever it was, it contained itself or was contained."

"Did Gojo exorcise it?"

Yaga was cut off by the doors being kicked open.

Satoru Gojo walked in like a man who had been personally wronged by the universe and wanted the world to know about it. He was still wearing his bandaged blindfold yet his expression broadcasted a deep personal grievance.

"I didn't do anything," he announced. "By the time I got there, it was gone."

"So we have an unidentified threat at large in Tokyo," Kento Nanami stated.

"I guess." Gojo shrugged, not actually thinking about the unidentified threat. He dropped into a chair and slumped. "This was a disaster."

"..."

"I was in the middle of 'When Marnie Was There'." Gojo's voice carried genuine anguish. "I was at the exact midpoint, Nanami, the exact midpoint, when I had to leave and teleport to find absolutely nothing."

Nanami stared at the white haired man. A vein made itself visible at his temple. "You are upset because you missed a children's film."

"Ghibli films are not children's films, they are—"

"You know how many civilians could have died?"

"The themes in Ghibli films operate on a level of emotional sophistication that frankly most adults are not equipped to—"

"GOJO."

"—and the animation alone represents a technical mastery that—"

Whatever Gojo had been about to say abruptly stopped. He had turned toward the window.

"Why is he here?" Yaga muttered, already moving toward the door. "Everyone. Front gate. Now!"

They came out in a cluster, fanning across the front, while Geto jumped down from the pelican curse spirit.

"I never imagined I would receive such a warm reunion."

"..."

Gojo stopped a few paces from Geto and looked at him through the blindfold with his hands in his pockets. "Why are you here, Suguru?"

"I have business with Shoko." Geto's eyes moved briefly across the gathered sorcerers behind Gojo, then came back. "I'm sure none of you are particularly eager for my company, so if you'd just move aside."

"Business with Shoko." Gojo repeated it without inflection. "You want me to just let you walk around this campus."

"I'm a guest," Geto said pleasantly. "Guests are traditionally permitted to walk around."

"What does that mean?" Yaga asked while cracking his knuckles.

Gojo's phone buzzed with a message from Shoko: Let the idiot come see me. And you stay put. I have some business to discuss with our old friend.

Yaga leaned over. "That's not happening. You think we'll allow you to walk in here and harm Shoko?"

Geto's face shifted into something that might have been genuine offense on anyone else. "Yaga-sensei. You think I would harm my best friend."

"What about Gojo?"

"He doesn't count."

"Suguru." Gojo pressed a hand to his chest with an expression of theatrical devastation. "I am wounded. I am genuinely hurt by that."

"You'll recover. But I need Shoko to help me heal a kid. Naruto will die. I don't think you want a kid dying just because of me."

Gojo looked at the coffin behind Geto's shoulder then his face. Something passed between them in that moment.

"Let him see Shoko."

Yaga looked at Gojo with a frustrated expression but breathed out slowly. "If you do anything to Shoko. Anything at all that I don't like. You are not leaving this campus... ALIVE."

"Understood." Geto tilted his head in something approximating a bow. He stepped past the line of sorcerers, and paused just long enough to put a hand briefly on Gojo's shoulder. "Thank you, Satoru."

The white haired man watched his ex-friend walk toward Shoko's office.

"Is this okay?"

"He won't do anything." Gojo's eyes tracked Geto's retreating figure, ready to kill him if necessary. "Not while I'm here."

The medical bay smelled like antiseptic and cigarette smoke in roughly equal measure.

Shoko Ieiri was leaning against the far counter with a cigarette between her fingers. Her white coat slightly wrinkled at the sleeves. The collar of her blue turtleneck folded precisely despite everything else about her posture suggesting she hadn't slept at a reasonable hour in recent memory. The dark lines under her soft brown eyes had become permanent enough to qualify as a beauty feature.

"Your vices have consumed you, Shoko."

"Pot," she said, exhaling a slow stream of smoke, "calling the kettle, black."

She watched her old friend carry the coffin to the nearest hospital bed.

"How have you been, Suguru?"

"Same old. Same, old." He patted the coffin. "I'm sure you already know what this is."

Shoko nodded, blowing smoke ring towards the ceiling.

"I just need you to heal the child inside."

"When you called in a favour I assumed it would be something complicated." She stubbed the cigarette. "But I didn't anticipate healing a child."

"You hold your end and I'll hold my end of the bargain." Geto did a binding vow to get shoko to heal naruto. "I'll leave you to it."

In the corridor, he released a curse spirit into the entrance.

It was a grade three curse, born from the childhood fear of a monster beneath the bed. A jet black mass without clear edges that moved like spilled ink. Unremarkable by most jujutsu metrics. But it was difficult to locate because of what it could do.

The barrier it created sealed every trace of cursed energy inside the room from leaking outward. A barrier greater than a curtain barrier.

"SUGURU! Didn't I tell you not to do anything stupid?"

"Tamamo-no-Mae."

A special grade curse spirit rose to its full height in front of them. Four eyes with long black hair cascading down past the backs of its legs. Two lines carved around the edges of its mouth. The face somewhere between beautiful and deeply wrong. The light-red kimono shifting as it turned its head slowly to survey the assembled sorcerers.

Gojo's hand came up and blue light began to gather in the space between his fingers, the beginning of Lapse: Blue taking shape.

Geto covered the distance in a breath to engage with gojo in cqc. He knew he couldn't win. Behind him, Tamamo-no-Mae used her cursed technique on the grade one sorcerers.

They just needed to buy time.

Shoko took a step back as the Kyubi's chakra hit the room like a pressure wave. Her nose began bleeding then her eyes. She pressed the back of her wrist against her face and looked at what was on the hospital bed, "Is this thing even alive?"

What remained of a corpse was being held in its boy shape by a dense red CE that made the surrounding curse spirit stronger.

"What did you bring me, Suguru?" The woman muttered and expelled positive cursed energy from both palms.

The white light of positive curse energy met the kyuubi chakra. Something unexpected happened as positive CE neutralized the hatred that laced Kurama's chakra. The red energy was converted it into something senjutsu-adjacent. The venus flytrap in her office began to grow. Shoko stared at the alien interaction for a half second and then pushed forward.

Shoko's hand grabbed what remained of Naruto's leg.

The Kyubi's chakra burned her skin. Yet she poured everything she had into the output.

The positive cursed energy output spread around him like a coccoon.

Bone grew in from the central structures outward. The spine reformed. The ribcage expanded into its correct shape. Each rib curving outward from the sternum. The shoulder blades settled. The collarbone completed its line.

Muscle followed the skeleton. It layered over the framework in sheets.

The chest expanded with the first real breath the body had taken in a while. The abdomen tightened. The face rebuilt itself across the skull. Tje expression settled in, even in the comatose state. Skin came last.

When it finished he looked like a boy with blond hair and whisker marks on his cheeks.

In the seal within him, Kushina and Minato worked against the Kyubi's chakra, pulling it back from the surface as Shoko's work completed.

Yet her hand had 3rd degree burns. With no more CE to work with, shoko helped herself to the old fashioned way. She reached for a roll of gauze with her other hand and began wrapping it, biting the end to tear it clean.

"That'll do for now."

The wall cracked.

Nanami's blade cleaving through the darkness curse's barrier using his ratio technique. Light and noise flooded back in through the gap. Shoko could see a thick smoke cloud that Tamamo-no-Mae had laid across the corridor.

Her Cursed Technique was charm.

Anyone under the effects of her smoke was subject to suffering from illusions controlled by the cursed spirit.

Meanwhile Gojo's Blue tore through the swarm of curse spirits Geto had built around Gojo like they were paper. The gravitational pull of the technique collapsed the entire cluster inward and scattered what remained across the corridor walls.

"sUGURU," Shoko called out.

And the moment Geto saw Naruto fully healed on the bed, he ran.

"Where do you think you're going, scaredy cat?!"

"Tamamo-no-Mae." Geto made a handsign.

The curse spirit turned from the grade one sorcerers and launched itself at Gojo.

Gojo drove his fist into the special grade curse with Blue concentrated at the point of impact. A localized vacuum pulling the strike's force inward and accelerating it beyond what the punch alone would have carried.

Tamamo-no-Mae barely survived the first hit. The curse knew that the second hit would kill her so she made a handsign.

"Domain Expansion: Court of Deep Crimson."

The boundary expanded outward from the curse capturing both gojo and the other sorcerers.

The world outside became irrelevant.

The space inside the domain was a vast mirror of dark red lacquer. Above them, inverted black torii gates receded upward in infinite columns. A wind moved through the domain from no identifiable direction, carrying a faint smell of incense.

According to japanese folklore, Tamamo-no-Mae had been the most beautiful woman in all of Japan. She appeared first at the court of Emperor Toba. With a beauty that made men forget to ask about her origin. In the stories, she was a nine-tailed fox. The same creature that had worn the name Daji in the courts of ancient China and brought a dynasty to ruin from the inside.

The fox didn't conquer. It whispered and waited. It made itself beloved and then it made that love into a weapon.

Her sure-hit worked on the same idea.

Inside the Court of Deep Crimson, Tamamo-no-Mae could forge a binding vow of obedience with anyone charmed by her beauty.

She turned her four eyes toward Satoru Gojo.

By the time she reached him she had shed the wrongness of her cursed form. And what stood before Gojo was a woman of otherworldly beauty.

More beautiful than anyone the white haired man had ever seen. Her hands wrapped around his shoulders. If Gojo felt any sort of attraction for even a second, the binding vow would be established.

"Kill everyone inside this domain."

Her angelic voice could move the heartstring of any man.

"Sure," Gojo said with a smile. "Let me start with you."

He formed his hand sign.

"Domain Expansion: Infinite Void."

When two domains overlapped, their sure-hit effects cancelled each other out.

What remained was a clash of refinement.

The more powerful and refined domain will overwhelm and shatter the weaker one, leaving the victor with an active sure-hit effect.

Infinite Void expanded without much issue as Gojo's domain refinement was something the jujutsu world hadn't seen in a thousand years.

The Court of Deep Crimson was consumed by the expansion of the Infinite Void.

A few seconds ago, Geto grabbed Naruto's unconscious body, and jumped onto the pelican curse. They rose into the evening sky above the campus.

"That was close."

Below them, the domain shattered.

Gojo stepped through the collapse with Tamamo-no-Mae's head in his hands, her body dissolving into nothing behind him.

The special grade curse was exorcised.

Geto felt the loss in his chest.

A domain clash with Gojo was never going to end any other way. But she had bought them the time they needed.

A domain expansion left its user burned out. The overload of the clash bleed Gojo cursed technique dry for the few minutes. This allowed Geto to leave with the boy. And more importantly with the two special grade vengeful spirits attached to the boy.

"What a touching reunion between old friends," Shoko said, typing one-handed.

Gojo's eyes settled on her injured arm. "Did he do that to you?"

"The kid's cursed energy did that to me." She turned her wrist over. "Geto just wanted me to heal him. The boy's CE fiery and corrosive. Some kind of cursed trait."

"Who's the kid?"

His Six Eyes saw the residual energy on her arm.

"Asking now."

[ Shoko: whos the kid? ]

[ Geto: He's my nephew. ]

Neither of them spoke for a moment.

"I don't like that," Gojo said.

"Stop sounding like a jealous ex."

Gojo gasped while placing a hand on hjs heart. "Shoko. How could you take his side? After all we've been through."

"I'm not taking anyone's side." She set the phone down and looked back at her arm. "Either way, I think this 'nephew' is connected to the CE spike this evening."

"He is," Gojo confirmed. "My Six Eyes picked up the same signature at the detection site and on your arm right now. "

"So, are you going to do anything about it?"

"Noooope."

Gojo said chackling as he gazed upon the boy in geto's arms. he didn't know why but he felt like he would meeting this boy soon.

"I look forward to it..."

Q & A Time

1. How do you plan to write in Naruto in a relationship with three people without reducing them to one dimensional characters?

That's simple.

Treat them as actual characters beyond being harem members. Have them be relevant to the plot, add character development, drama, power ups, and reasons why they actually agreed to the harem beyond just "let's share this dude." Add them having an effect on Naruto, his powers, and his character. One of them is directly tied to a major canon arc which changes a lot of the narrative around it. And the harem dynamic itself creates conflict both inside and outside the relationship. We are talking Character A hating Naruto for being with Character B so much that they actively try to kill him.

So yeah, there is no harem for the sake of a harem because where's the fun in that. Give me all the drama.

2. What is the timeline between JJK0 and episode one of JJK?

One year.

JJK0 takes place in 2017 and episode one takes place in 2018.

By the way, Geto finds Naruto in 2015 so they have a few years for Naruto to grow up and join the cast.

Q: Are you going to make the characters stronger because of Naruto?

Yes. But not in the way you might think.

The characters don't get stronger just because I need Naruto to have a challenge. Their growth comes from two specific sources that actually make sense within the story.

The first is diegetic expansion. Some characters in canon were clearly holding back abilities that Gege simply hadn't fully developed yet. Tamamo-no-Mae Incarnate is a perfect example. In JJK0 it didn't show a Domain Expansion, but that is a writing limitation not a lore one. Geto himself hyped it as one of the 16 registered Special Grade cursed spirits and one of his strongest. A curse at that level could have a Domain Expansion. Gege just hadn't fully built out the power system yet when JJK0 was written. So in this fic I am expanding on what was always implied to be there rather than inventing new power out of nowhere. Same logic applies to Geto himself having a Domain Expansion. It could exist. Canon just never showed it.

The second source is Naruto's presence directly causing a shift in the balance of power. Kurama's hatred leaking into the world converts into CE and strengthens the curses around it. Stronger curses mean sorcerers have to rise to meet them or die. It is the same ripple effect Gojo's birth had on the jujutsu world, except this time the catalyst is a 13 year old with a nine tailed fox sealed inside him.

So yes, characters will be stronger than their canon counterparts. But it will always make sense why.
