Once in the corridor I sigh in relief and look up at Kadachi to see a cold blank stare on his face.
"Kadachi what are you thinking?"
He darts his eyes to me then back out towards the main hall full of people.
" I think this is much bigger then we may think. "
I look up at him confused.
"But I thought this was a test?"
Kadachi shrugged his shoulders before turning away and walking towards the elevator.
"The test is real, But something just feels off."
I see him hit the elevator button as he pulls out his phone to type something before putting it back into his pocket.
(Kadachi may be right, it's best to be on guard no matter what anyways.)
"So what are you thinking?"
The elevator dings as the doors slide open and we step inside, He punches a button and the doors close before he finally speaks again.
"Don't worry about it, just follow my lead here."
I smile at his response but keep my thoughts to myself.
(It's nice to have someone I can rely on and show me the way. I can learn a lot from this and become a lot stronger.)
(Upon entering the room.)
As we enter the room I look around the room a bit in shock at how much gold was in the just the walls itself, as Kadachi headed to the bathroom I started my search and began looking in various places for any clues until I hear the door beep and I grab an empty wine glass nearby.
(shoot that was close...wheres Kadachi?)
In walks someone I don't recognize, a cold icy stare from opal-colored eyes was the first thing I saw, then in that moment I gulped as unknown dread hit me.
(who is this guy and why does he seem pissed...did they find us out?)
I awkwardly smile and wave.
"W-why hello there..."
The man who looks to be in his mid 20s with snow white hair looks at me for a second before turning his gaze to one of the men in black behind him who nods.
(Did he...straight up ignore me?!)
then in that very moment, the bathroom door opens and both men lock eyes before suddenly pulling out guns and pointing them at each other.
(W-what?! This escalated from 0 to 100 real quick, what should I do!)
Just then Kadachi starts to speak.
"Ikaku...if you put your gun down I'll put mine and we can just talk?"
(So they know each other??)
I watch while secretly going for my gun as well.
The man named Ikaku smirks.
"I take it you're being generous considering there's a girl here?"
Kadachi chuckles
" were not even at war right now so what's the point of creating more unnecessary damage huh?"
Ikaku chuckles as well.
"Well what can one do eh? I walk into a room where I find you and this girl when I'm expecting someone else...Also given our history...and also your unusual fast reflexes...need I go further?"
Kadachi smirks before drawing his gun back which in return Ikaku and his men do the same. And as I stand their dumbfounded I sigh while watching them talk.
(They know each other but...why is he here at this time too its odd...)
As I stand there deep in thought we hear another voice near the entrance of the door, I look up to see Mr. Hitotsu Shiho and four other men in black behind him.
"Well this seems to be a gathering more then a meeting why don't I get some drinks and snacks brought up while we mingle huh?"
Kadachi glances at me then at Ikaku before finally nodding.
"Ok."
As we take our seats a maid begins to poor wine into glasses from the side.
As I casually watch her I see her sneakily drop something into the bottle before pouring more.
(she's drugged the wine?! I need to let the others know...)
As the meeting begins I carefully watch the maid gets ready to hand out the wine glasses.
(There are it 4 wine glasses that are poisoned, I need to find some kind of distraction...)
As she puts them all onto her trey I stand up and now to the men before me.
"I'm sorry for the interruption but I need to step out for a-"
(I need to move now!)
Just as I took a step back to turn around I let my hand drop to the side which makes me accidentally hit the trey out of the maids hands sending the wine glasses all over her and me.
"Eeekkk!"
Kadachi instantly stands up to check on me.
"Kairi, are you ok?"
I smile wryly and nod, the maid instantly gets back up and starts to apologize profusely.
"Oh my goodness I'm so sorry please forgive my clumsiness!"
(She seems genuinely frightened...maybe she's being forced to do this?)
"Oh it's totally my fault not a problem at all-"
Just then Mr. Hitotsu slams his fist onto the table making a few items fall to the ground.
"What a damn mess are you trying to embarrass me?! Get out before I have your job you damn cow!"
Shocked by his outburst she quickly bows with tears rushing down her eyes.
"I-I'm so sorry sir please forgive my recklessness."
He snals and waves her hand at her.
"Go on and get out, you're a waste of space!"
I clench my fist and bite my tongue.
(This guy really ticks me off...)
"I'm gonna go clean myself off."
Just then a man in black who was standing next to Mr. Hitotsu points to a closet across the room.
"Over there are some extra clothes."
I nod and look up at Kadachi who nods.
"Thank you, I'll be sure to return what I borrow."
Mr. Hitotsu shakes his head.
"No need, they just sit there anyway."
I nod and open the closet, as I search through the dresses I find a soft pink elegant short sleeve one, as I pull it out I nearly gasp as I see what's behind them and quickly close the door.
(Theres no way that could of been real...)
I keep a small smile and my head low as I go to the bathroom to change.
(I'm sure of it...there's no way they just have jars of...body parts...)
I shiver and quickly undress and put the dress on before finally walking back out to see Kadachi holding a gun up to Mr. Hitotsu head and Ikaku with his men pointing guns at the other men.
(oh dear...)
"k-"
Just as I tried to speak my hair is yanked from the side of me and I'm thrown to the floor.
"Put em down or she gets a fucking bullet to the brain!"
Just as he says that Kadachi smirks as he's staring at me which makes the man above me look down to see a gun pointed back up at him.
"You wanna know the difference between u and me?"
I stare at him in the eyes as he tries to tighten his grip around my hair to yank me back I pull the trigger hitting his shoulder causing him to fall back and I stand up while pulling me second gun out from it's hidden holster pointing one at him and the other at Mr. Hitotsu.
"The difference is I can pull the trigger."
Kadachi smirks and looks back at Mr. Hitotsu.
"Spill it what are you doing here for real?"
"Fuck off kid-"
Kadachi glances at Ikaku who in return shoots both of Mr. Hitotsu's body guards on the spot leaving him with a horrified look on his face.
"Kadachi there are body parts in jars in the closet sitting on ice."
Kadachi chuckles.
"Oh really? So Mr. Hitotsu! Care to explain?"
Mr. Hitotsu stumbles on his words as a yellow liquid forms a puddle below him.
"Look I was just doing what i was told! All I know is he goes by Enzo! I needed the money or else I would be dead, please spare me!"
Kadachi chuckles while opening the closet his expression darkens as he observes what exactly is in the jars, my eyes also widen upon realization.
(A baby...is that a baby...)
Just as quickly as the realization occurred I see Kadachi turn around in rage ready to kill Mr. Hitotsu, I quickly step in front of him.
"Just wait we need him alive to tell us everything he knows let's-"
Just then the door is busted down and in comes dozens of cops in swat uniforms, My heart stops as we're all thrown to the ground.
(what's going on why is this happening there is no way anyone heard those shots and cops got here this quickly...someone tipped them off.)
