After several minutes of silence. Liana and Flame are in the most unpleasant, awkward situation. Flame could feel her glares, unknowing what to do. Kashi does not know what's going on. But at least he found someone, so he doesn't complain about it. Shannon is just eating her snacks that were once served from the guild.
Liana broke the silence as she stood up abruptly. "I am doing this to graduate from Magic academy, get in my way and I'll destroy you all. Touch me and you die. If you get into my personal area. You die. And if you look at me, you die. You guys understand?? Pointing Kashi and Flame."
Flame looks away uninterested, even if he can hear. That pisses Liana more. Kashi had to step in, although he felt intimidated. "Flame is Deaf, he can't hear anything you said."
"Oh, my," Shannon gasps, then she continues eating her food.
Liana then flares back, trying to keep her posture "T-That's a lie, there's nobody in the world like that. Even if that were to happen, the healer can fix anything that's broken inside your body."
"I asked the exact question to Flame, and he said any healers cannot cure it when he was little. So it is pointless to try to "fix him." Kashi explains, hoping it'll calm her down.
There's silence once again. Only to hear Shannon eating and the people talking in the background.
Shannon swallows her food as she starts to talk, "How is Flame going to communicate if he goes with us on the quest?"
Kashi crosses his hand and thought for a bit. "Well, you can write a note for starters, or you can learn sign language at least that what it called."
"Sign language?" That word caught her attention "Never heard of it. Shannon since you graduated, you ever heard of it."
Shannon shakes her head. "A witch probably knows." She joked, giving a little giggle.
Kashi then proceeds to sign toward Flame. It's a little awkward since he's a beginner. However, he improved drastically in the first few days. "Hey Flame," which caught his attention. "Can you tell them about sign language?"
Flame shakes his head "Not going to tell them, they're weird."
Liana and Shannon were surprised by the hand movement. As Liana said with curiosity, "what did he say?"
Kashi knew that'll piss her off, but he had to say it, anyway. "He said you're a weirdo." He scratches his head with an awkward smile.
She stood up again, which is caught by everyone's attention. "I am not a weirdo! My name is Liana Strait I'm from Magic Academy in Litosie. And This is Shannon she recently graduated from Academy and she's helping me to graduate. If you two mess it up I'll-" Liana sees that Flame was not interested as Kashi trying not to listen to her.
Liana's rage went on for a while.
Once they calm down, they talked about the quest they had to do. Kashi interprets for flame so he can figure out what's going on at the meeting. Of course, they still argue.
The quest is well simple; to prevent the monster from gate to overflow. You cannot close the gate, so the only thing they can do is to reduce their number or wipe them out. There's a good thing that you can collect crystal from the gate that has been dropping. You only can find the gate in many areas such as dungeon is what they called now.
Gate is intangible you cannot close it or get inside the gate so there's no way anyone can figure out how the gate works.
After they finally come into agreement as they agreed to meet them near the inn that Flame and Kashi rested over there. While Flame and Kashi are waiting. Liana and Shannon came in here with a crowd as usual. Kashi was confused. Well, it is his first time to see the crowd outside.
Liana wasn't thrilled considering how much she hated men in society and our recent meeting. Shannon changed her clothes that fit for this adventure. She wore a leather chest plate and a small purse. She still has her boots on, as well as her cape. She's still looked like a model that should be on tv.
Liana holds her umbrella as she arrived. "why are we meeting in a place like this?" she complained as usual while looking around at the inn.
Kashi smiles as he claps his hand and rubs. "Hehe, you are going to like this." He walks over to the white curtain that was covered. Probably to protect from rain or anything hazard such as people in the alley. And he pulls it out as it reveals Chip. "This is Chip, a new handmade vehicle that I made"
Liana and Shannon were confused. "Chip?" Liana asked.
Kashi had to explain what this vehicle does. During those explanations, Flame noticed that someone is watching us. He checked his surrounding somewhere in the crowd but the presence is gone. It is probably his imagination, but he was on guard to see if anything else is unusual.
Shannon scans the vehicle. "So this is better than a horse?"
Flame is the first one to get on the seat waiting for them. Kashi got on second and beckons Shannon and Liana to get inside Chip. He equips his Green crystal as the pipe begins to blow the air as it moves slowly.
Flame could feel the hostility Jealousy of the crowd, not because of what they're riding. It's because of the girls riding in the backseat.
Liana was shocked by the fact that she had never seen a crystal used that way. She used to see crystals that use as enhancement such as magical rods that enhance one's ability or use it as daily tools.
By the time they reach outside of the city. He put his goggle on as he begins to speed up. Flame who got used to it even after the first try. While the girl comprehends nothing as they scream due to how fast it was.
