The Doppelgänger had lied and the reports on him were false. And because of Jay's pain block skill. The Doppelgänger also couldn't feel pain despite many fragments of the Scrapped sword digging inside his skin.
Jay kept pouring mana into the Hilt.
The Doppelgänger smiled and looked straight at Jay.
Doppelgänger :
I can't even feel pain in this body. This is pure bliss.
Doppelgänger :
Once I kill you I'll dispose your body and take my place as you and kill everyone by your side.
The Doppelgänger launched all the saws at once. At a certain spot which allowed Jay to dodge roll his way to safety.
During that period the Doppelgänger took a high potion and drank it. And the skin around the blade fragments were held tightly by his skin.
AND Jay removed his sword and swung it at him. So to stun Jay. The Doppelgänger exploded a flashbomb which stunned Jay as his eyes were overexposed with light Jay had to shut his eyes and continued the swing and successfully landed a cut on his leg.
Normal soldiers wouldn't be able to land a hit on Jay with the mightiest of swords for what good is a sword if the person is lacking. But with the Doppelgänger and the same stats it's fair game.
There's a lot more to consider though durability, mechanical strength, structure, angle of entry, biology.
The Doppelgänger took out another high potion and looked at it started at it while Jay recovered his sight. The Doppelgänger seemed hesitant but quickly drank the potion again. And tasted the bitterness of the medicine as the medicine healed the deep cut on his legs. But it couldn't heal the shrapnel stabbed into him.
Both of them once again clashed their swords. Their swings were in the following order.
Jay used stab. Was deflected to the side.
The Doppelgänger used side slash. Was blocked by Prototype 1
Jay used kick . Doppelganger used the same move. Bothoves are cancelled out.
Both of them returned to the same stance. Once more.
Set 2 : Distance approx 1 meter.
Mental battle ensues.
Over analyzing opponent and taking the best moves.
Jay finished first and used Fire punch.
Doppelgänger responded with a fire punch of his own.
Due to shrapnel in the muscles the action remained incomplete and direction changed.
Jay's fire punch is successful.
Opponent has been sent flying. And face had been burned with 2nd degree burn. And Jay suffered small recoil
The Doppelgänger landed on the ground and Jay maintained the shrapnel inside him with the Scrapped blade Hilt.
The Doppelgänger tried to use the same strategy. The Doppelgänger removed his Scrapped blade and dashed at Jay and swung it. But Jay gave him the same flash bomb treatment as he did and the Doppelgänger crashed to the ground. With the blade splitting into pieces and some stabbing him instead.
But with the remaining pieces he held the Hilt in his hands.
And directed them towards Jay which he caught using iron sand springing up from the ground like a fountain and absorbing all the shard in it. And the outer layer of the iron sand turning into iron plate to prevent the shards from leaving the sand .
Doppelgänger :
I'm the same as you, then why can't I kill you.
Jay :
Wouldn't you like to know.
The Scrapped sword suspended in action the Doppelgänger finally goes ballistic and grabs a handful of elemental stones. And activated them he threw them towards Jay.
AND when these stones come together the results are something else.
Jay jumped high and flew in the air. Because of the fire elemental stones there were at least 7 explosions with massive flooding once again due to the burst of water and tornadoes and winds surging due to the wind elemental stones and all of the water had been electrified by lightning elemental stones.
To escape this Jay escaped into the skies above the clouds.
Where a heavenly patrol saw Jay and started attacking him.
A squad of angels took their weapons of light and started attacking him. And the Doppelgänger followed in pursuit into the heavens.
Angel :
Who is this who bears such darkness in his heart. Their body is the same but that one bears violence in its heart.
The angels targeted the Doppelgänger instead. Firing light arrows. Arrows enhanced with light magic travelling at supersonic speeds. The Doppelgänger was hit with three arrows before he dissolved their entire squads by his own hands.
The artificial intelligence again placed a contact with Phoenix.
The underground facility was being overrun with water and Phoenix was closing doors upon doors to help the others escape. In the lowest point of the facility there is another escape route.
Even if the water was dissipating from the surface some water was still accumulating in the underground facility.
The androids were holding back doors from collapsing open. The researchers dived deeper and deeper into the facility. Phoenix then saw the anomalies. He picked up the boy and descended below. The plagued had used his remaining strength to struggle and drowned in the same water.
The facility was not designed to hold back large amounts of water. For it was in an area with no rain for the last 25 years.
Dor this reason the builders failed to account for this situation. But despite it's underground structure. Each floor was given an emergency route. Leading outside the facility.
The researchers used the exit on the second floor. While
Head researcher :
Were almost to the exit. Whatever happens don't stop.
Phoenix tried to go deeper. And one researcher grabbed his hand.
Researcher :
Where are you going. The exit is this way.
Phoenix who was in a rushed replied in a hurry.
Phoenix :
I need to see cure the anomalies. Whatever the cost.
Saying this Phoenix head into the third floor where he knocked out her Highness. Phoenix casually grabbed her on his shoulder and ran downwards. Where both suicide man and nihility were in once cell.
Both of the anomalies did not affect each other. But Phoenix cannot bear to look at suicide man. To combat this Phoenix forced nihility to cover with two masks covering his face and hair somewhat.
Phoenix grabbed nihility who was standing near the door while shutting his eyes and ordered nihility to put the mask on suicide man.
Nihility :

Before he could complete his nihilism sermon Phoenix punched Nihility in a rush and that too violently.
Phornix :
Speak a word and I show you what a fulfilling life you will have.
Suicide :
I shall heed your words. But for now.
The suicide man wore a mask over his head so Phoenix was able to see him without much trouble. And knocking out both of them worked wonders for Phoenix carried them and ran towards the emergency exit.
AND shut off the doors behind to stop the water. Phoenix's running spread was great and within a few minutes he was able to make it outside the fscility. And stood before the elevator which would bring on the land. But the land had been filled with water and unless the water would cease they cannot ascend.
Phoenix had done the mathematics. In theory he should be able to evaporate all of the water but the flames might cause structural damage. So he decided for the water to drain out.
It would take abojt a few more minutes for the water to drain.
But for that time he was stuck there with three deadly anomalies. Her highness, Nihility and Suicide.
All of them knocked out of commission temporarily.
While in the skies. The Doppelgänger looked at the angels in contempt.
The Doppelgänger before he could pull out the arrows. Jay struck from behind. But the Doppelgänger sensed Jay coming from behind and turned off his jets and fell from the sky just to ascend into the sky again.
The gears within the Doppelgänger started spinning and instead of fighting Jay. He ran away using its thrusters it flew as far as he could and as high as he could.
But the heavens had caught wind of this mischief. And immediately send down their envoys to arrest them.
A group of angels which all of them were archers aimed the bow at the darkest one and shot. But this time the Doppelgänger was vigilant and he lashed out at each and every one of them.
AND as he did Jay was getting another call. This time from the King.
King :
Whats the mission status have all anomalies been contained yet.
Jay :
No but are containing the Doppelgänger right now.
King :
Has the Doppelgänger touched you.
Jay :
Yes. And he is trying to escape right now. But we have been covered by angels who are shooting at the Doppelgänger for some reason.
King :
Jay, whatever happens I need it alive. Do you understand.
Jay :
Then how do I get him under control.
King :
Let him fight the heavenly guards and when he is about to go down take him out.
AND just as he had predicted the heaven responded by sending more and more forces after them. And the Doppelgänger tore through as many as he can. Before a throne was summoned. The Doppelgänger saw the throne and felt his mana. And dived down for he had consumed mana at an incredible pace.
He could take a big part of the heavenly army but Jay was also on his tail. The Doppelgänger tried to shake him off. But going in random directions Jay maintained a distance but visually tracked him. Thus conserving mana.
Doppelgänger :
If I can't shake you then I will use the rest of this power. To bring hell to all.
At first he was flying in random patterns but then he started moving in a straight line and towards the capital.
Jay chased him by doubling his output. They were now on the track to reach the capital.
Jay was catching up to him bit by bit. If he was to launch an attack then they would be swept away with the wind. All attack except one. Another one of the classic attacks. Jay picked up from somewhere.
The laser. Using light magic Jay charged up a laser and pointed it at the Doppelgänger and the laser was made hot enough to make an injury and take his attention away from his path.
AND the Doppelgänger took the bait he felt the heat in his hamstrings slowly accumulating. And at one point the Doppelgänger reacted by twitching his muscle and when he did. There was an imbalance within his flight and it caused him to lose control of his route and eventually fall towards the ground.
AND before he could regain his flight. Jay grabbed the Doppelgänger and crashed down with him to the ground.
Jay's body had become strong enough to shrug off the impact. And so was the Doppelgänger but he was badly hurt and tried his very best to drink a potion to heal.
But Jay kicked the phone and it landed a few meters away.
The Doppelgänger sighed and he had admitted defeat.
Doppelgänger :
We are the same so why can't I beat you.
Jay :
It's simple very much so. One simple thing affect everything.
Doppelgänger : tired voice
Will you make me beg for the answer?
Jay :
I can't stand the sight of myself losing much longer. So how about you change back.
The Doppelgänger looked down on himself and was depressed.
Doppelgänger :
I have forgotten what I look like. I used to keep a photo of me. But even that went away with the fires.

Phoenix :
Jay where are you. We have all evacuated but I can't see you anywhere.
Jay touched the device and the mic turned on.
Jay :
I don't know where I am but I have the Doppelgänger with me.
Phoenix :
I have your location. I'll send someone to pick both of you.
AND with this the anomalies had been taken under control.
