Chapter 16 - 16

Anthony pov

Walking the cold halls of the castle, I see her specter. The cute little laugh she made rings in my ear on a maddening loop. 'Anthony~' no stop it. 'Anthony~' your not real stop it! 'Why didn't you save us?!' This voice is...I look up to see the specter of my sister who looked water logged and melting. 'She killed us Anthony!' She yelled. 'And like a foolish boy you still want her. I told you she was truble.' I wipped my around to see my mother in a red dress holding her head. "I was framed I didn't kill the king and queen. This was all a misunderstanding." I cried out only for them to giggle and mock me.

'Son are you sure it was a misunderstanding? Think back to that night are your memories real?' I look to see the specter of my father naked covered in ash holding his head. A gust of wind blew past me as a snow owl chased away the aberrations. The owl turnd into that lady again. "Anthony you must fight the darkness inside you. I fear it will consume you if you don't. Soon your struggle will be over." She said before vanishing again. "Sophia get me the book of guardians!" I yelled walking to the study. I need answers on this specter of light. The harth in the old dusty victorian style study was lit with blue fire. The maid trembles next to the desk holding the book. "Pothetic wretch leave me to my work!" I yelled making her rush out. I sat opening the book going threw several passages about deities, gods, witches when I found it.

-Asherah or known as the grate mother. She created the supernatural world from a speck of dust. The human god was jealous of her power. He wanted her to wed him but she refused saying that power isn't everything. In a fit of rage he set war apon her by telling his followers to not trust the supernatural beings. They are born of darkness and only seek to spread it. Asherah seeing the pain her children are enduring seeks to quell the seething tirent. No matter what she tried nothing was fruitful. Seeing no other options she sealed away the god of humans. The rule of two was created to bring balance to the community. Asherah went into hiding soon after the seal was placed. Some say she herself is the seal, others think she can not reside in the realm of gods or the seal will break.-

"Thats all we have on the grate mother? The woman who created us all is described in a small passage! HOW FUCKING DISRESPECTFUL!" I shout before regaining myself. 'She wants Iris to kill you so balance can be returned. You must kill her or are you a Pothetic wretch who is ok with his family's death?' It's that voice again. 'Without so much as a thought she cast you aside. What is stopping the Pothetic whore from killing you?' The voice was trying to pin me against Iris. I looked in the mirror only to see me before the scars and burns. "She turned her back on us wed another and will do so again. Iris Clearwater is not ours anymore, we need to protect the community from her." He said before fading away.

Standing on top of the tower Asherah watched Anthony. She sighs spreading her golden wings and flew away. "Soon this will be over and I can sleep once more." She said before diving into the large lake. The cool water gliding along her body as she zips under the water like a bullet. Her destination Fae the leader of the woodlin Elves.

Iris pov

"Iris you are not to blame for any of this." Lareas said only to be knocked away from me by what looked like a snakes tail. Wait snake tail it can't be can it. I turned my head to see a very pissed off Jackson. He had burs along the right side of his body. Several Sirens tuen to stone under his gaze. "Keep you fucking hands off my wife!" He hissed pulling me to him. "Your supposed to be dead stupid snake." Lareas said glaring at Jackson. "She is to be my wife the rule of two is bound to her. Let me save her you fool." Lareas tried reasoning with Jackson, who only hissed. "I wasn't dead but our children couldn't be saved. This rule of two doesn't fucking exist. It's just a way for the hods to play with us. My wife isn't going anywhere with you or that sick Anthony Clydesmith. She is mine and no one will take her." Jackson said holding me close. "Perhaps we can make a deal Naga? Your and my kind are similar in some ways. Multiple mates aren't uncommon." Jackson hissed in warning. "No she is mine only." I place my hand on Jackson's shoulder. "We need the alliance with them so I can save my people Jackson. No only would the marriage help us but others will back me. Anthony has destroyed so much and so have I. Taking Anthony down will save everyone and also put the community on the path of healing." I said trying to reason with him but he looked away sad and angry. "Taking on multiple partners is dangerous Iris. No one will know who is king rightfully. You will always be seen as a queen. The children will be unknown to who fathered them till birth. It is a mess and one I want to spare you from. " I know he is right but we have no choice at the current moment. "You will always be the king by my side Jackson." I said kissing his cheek. "Lareas if I marry you the siren will help me secure my thrown yes?" I said facing the one my father years ago wished me to marry. "Yes no one will disobey the queen." I hate that I am even going to do this. However with everything in the state of chaos. I have no other options but to be like the kings and queens before me. I just hope none of the other supernatural species offer up males to me. "Fine I will wed you." I said threw gritted teeth.

Asherah pov

I sat with Faeson but he prefers Fae. "So the queen wishes for our help to save the world as we know it?" The elf asked sipping on some tea. "Yes she will be open to negotiations for help as well." I said watching his grey eyes. "To all and any negotiations?" He asked rolling my eyes, I nod at the lustfull fool. "A queen now that would be a wonderful partner." He said turning his appearance from a shriveled old man to that of a young lad of twenty. His long silver hair adding to his soft features. "Be warned you will not be able to harm her Faeson. You know what I do to men, who disregard my warnings." I said before taking the form of an owl. Flying away I hear him reply his answer. Lustful bastard best not ruin my hard work.

Fareson clapped his hands summoning a servant. "Tell the others to prepare for your queen will be here soon." The small elf gasped. "My lord you mean a lady has agreed to be?" The small boy stopped seeing the glare he was receiving. "Go before you have to do border patrol. "Yes my lord" the lad said leaving Fareson looking to the sun bathed sky full of huse of orange and gold dancing on the clouds. "Yes my queen we are ready for you." He said letting the gentle breeze pass by.

Meanwhile with Iris

Iris stood infront of the huge lake while the sirens watch the hand fastening. The white sash glows before disappearing signaling that Lareas is bound to her as she is to him. "It took you long enough to agree with this." Lareas smirks making Iris roll her eyes. "I had no choice in the matter." She said her words filled with venom."you will come to love me eventually." He said tucking some hair behind her ear. "Not a chance." She said before following him into the water for the completion of their unity. The sirens cheer seeing the small ripples on the waters surface. Jackson glares knowing he has to now try and get along with the bastard. James stood by him watching the water feeling uneasy. "Come on we should go Charry and Tarry are waiting for us." He was trying to be responsible but inside the former hunter was stirring. James lead Jackson to the old wood cabin they had been staying in. "Its not much but it's home." Jackson looked around before frowning. "Nothing of her taste is here." Jackson curls up in the farthest corner and rests.
