Chapter 309 - Powers of the Souls 3: Zero Alephinity

"Next up on the list, [Spacetime]." The white board changed to illustrate a Tesseract, Remuel remembered how Draxus used dimensional disorientations to mess with the perspective of Audrey in their match when Audrey returned from her trip. "If I remember correctly, this is the one you dealt with right?" Arlesk turned toward Serkyrio and remembered the incident in Santuria. "Yeah, Zero in general has some pretty standard abilities, Time, Space, Dimensions, Zero doesn't use the annoying trick of making every attack never make it to him, as Draxus often does. So to be fair, in Zero's case, he hasn't truly matured much in using his abilities. Draxus though gets too creative with his abilities."

Remuel could easily tell how Draxus often uses Spacetime, which annoys him most of the time. "In combat, it's just incredibly nasty when he can set the time and location at every moment with his processing ability. I'm more surprised that he does less time swings like time stops, speed ups, or slow downs in his tactics." "That kinda messes with his processing ability to an extent." Serkyrio clearly gave an answers as to why Draxus doesn't make use of certain spacetime abilities, but he does provide some findings on what Draxus was able to do when training in simulated worlds. "Draxus, during testing did things like change the dimensional fabric during battles. This was applied when he disoriented the dimensional perception when he sparred against Audrey." "I remember that, I don't really want to end up in that zone. He can swing wherever and it would easily connect since it's not just perception, he really makes the entire space go weird." After Remuel complained and Arlesk nodding in agreement, Serkyrio continued.

"Anyways, Draxus with Spacetime soul fragment operates well with how he can tactically shift time, space, and dimensions around. He could pretty much suspend anything too, granted by the fact on how much the enemy can work around the suspension. Draxus would also do things like rewriting. Which is something he already often does when using [Theory], but he can still rewrite events and history, provided that it's history that he can remember. He's not exactly the expert in that field though, despite having that inhuman processing ability." Arlesk shrugged his shoulders, bringing out a complaint. "Yeah, he pretty much did that to me recently, rewrote the when and where my punch went and I ended up hitting air." Serkyrio then seemed more relieved. "Good, it's fine if it's just one or two little branches that lived for two seconds." Remuel and Arlesk caught on immediately. "Hm? What happens if he breaks a longer branch though? From the [Tree of Timelines] too?" "Arlesk, remember his now Worldbreaker Cards? [O - The Fool] is unchanged right? The one that shatters a timeline branch from the [Tree of Timelines] and sends back its user to a certain point in time? A reset of some sort?" Remuel brought up one of Draxus' cards, which was still unused to this day.

"If you really wish to know then how would you feel if you placed yourself in the correct timeline?" "So you're saying, a disorientation of some sorts?" Arlesk started to figure out the effects. "Yes, however, Draxus can perfectly calculate the correct timeline he would go to using the processing ability and [Spacetime]." The implication of the cost was enough for them. They could easily figure out that any injuries Draxus takes in failed timelines would be brought to him to the timeline that they're currently in. That would be a very good signal that Draxus may have used [O - The Fool] for them."

After the talk about the possible consequences of [O - The Fool], they moved on a bit more to Zero's abilities.

Remuel prepared a small report from what he had gathered from the remaining memories of each soul, showing only Zero's section. "Zero seems to have records of displacing his opponents. Well, this was mainly done when the castle he was in had, unsavory visitors or accidental arrivals, usually prompted by the girl named Ernaline. He normally just sends then back down to the surface as their castle is pretty much close to open space." Remuel flipped a page from the report before continuing. "While that one was not really that standard, yes he does have the usual time stop, acceleration, and abate for combat tactics and as established earlier, Draxus doesn't use. However, he also apply that displacement ability he has to himself as well. Though after learning that he could just fold the spaces in a way that makes him teleport, he stopped using self-displacement out of combat."

Since the reports have illustrations that display how certain abilities were used, Remuel already had to flip the page again.

"Next up is Time Travel, this one's also fairly basic. He used it before his death, when he tried to reset multiple times. After realizing that every choice he makes leads to the same result of Ernaline dying, he fell to despair, and experience something like recoil." After reading the report again, and the short conversation about Draxus using [O - The Fool], he realized something major was up.

"Serkyrio, is this the real consequence of Draxus' [O - The Fool] card?" Serkyrio only nodded to Remuel's question. He tried to say something but Serkyrio spoke ahead of him. "I'll have to let Draxus know about it at some point, but you two would know he's going to a hundred percent, ignore it depending on the situation." The two quickly agreed, they knew that Draxus would pay everything, regardless of what state it leaves him in.

Remuel then continued with the report a bit more after flipping to the next page. The white board always erases itself and replaces its contents with the illustrations of the report.

"Next up is suspension. During his despair, he suspended a World's Cycle System. So some areas have permanent sunlight and one side has complete darkness. This is dangerous regardless of how we look at it. The moment the sun stops rotating, regardless of whether it is permanently day in here or permanently night, we're gonna take a big hit." Remuel then flips the page and reveals a theoretical ability. "Lastly, this had no instance of being used, but is theoretical, nor we can prove it right now as mere Proxies. Layering Manipulation. Mainly Dimensional, so anything that may exist on one dimensional level, he could move it to another. However, this one is just theoretical and is unlikely to be used. Unless of course, Draxus."

Serkryio after seeming flipping the last page of Zero's information, pretty much concluded for the time being, and suggested that they take a break for today and proceed with the next souls at a later date, since they just cannot leave their daily work unattended, and they have already been stuck in the room for three hours. Remuel and Arlesk easily agreed, even starting to think about what to eat. Since they eat separately now, with their departments, they have different schedules. Serkyrio and Arlesk returned to their works while Remuel went to the [Dimensional Laboratory] and simply asked his fiancés to have lunch outside with him in a restaurant that he found in Aquila's territory.
