Chapter 148 - Stroies from the war pt2

Wonder crashed through the green hill. He shattered through the ground and found himself floating above hundreds of people. Most of them were above the ages of 40-55. Wonder looked down to see all of their faces. The king of the beast gave off an intimidating look.

Wonder put on a smile and landed softly on the ground. "I could not locate Adisa. It appears he has no interest in facing me yet. No matter. I'm glad all of you were able to land here just like I wanted. Wonder snapped his fingers. Five creatures slithered into the area and began to demand people into single file lines. "Be gentle with them." Wonder said in a calm tone. The wonder let out a yawn and created a large towel with his mind. Wonder sat down on the towel and just looked at the humans in front of him.

(Why…why of all places…am I here?) a man thought. He was sweating uncontrollably out of fear. Wonder met his gaze and smiled. "I know a lot of you are thinking what you're doing here. If you all look around…you'll notice that all of you play a very important part in society. Human society, at least." Wonder pointed to a man in an all black suit. "This man is an owner of a pharmaceutical company. This company…did not ever tell the truth to its civilians." Wonder growled with a glare. "These…people would sell product that would easily cause more pain and struggles in the victims lives. Then proceed to give them more medication. The more medication, the more money…correct? These people also know the cure of a deadly disease known as cancer. Only few people in the world have access to this. Many people also die from this disease." Wonder moves his head and locked eyes with a woman. Wonder pointed her out. A woman whore had light skin, red lipstick, long black hair, and a beautiful red dress, was shaking while on her knees. "This woman…this woman is part of a government the world doesn't even believe exists. Mind you, she does not speak English. I can translate naturally to all you people. I want you..to tell them what you do. They will understand you because I'm allowing them to." Wonder purred.

The woman didn't say anything. She just continued to shake. "I will give you till the count of 3," Wonder began. The woman's eyes shot open. (Oh…oh god. I'm going…I'm going to die-)

"One." Wonder whispered. The woman still didn't reply. Wonder slowly stood up and took a deep breath. "Two." He muttered.

"Guys, this thing is crazy!! It-"

No one had seen it. They just saw the woman's body drop to the ground. Green blood oozed and shot from her neck. A man turned back around to face Wonder. Wonder had one hand on his knee. He used the other to take a bite out of the woman's head. "If you people look…you'll notice she isn't even human. You have beings rule your planet that aren't even in control. You have evil ruling your planet and you all are okay with that. The people in this room all share one thing and one thing alone in common. That…is that you all are nothing but selfish and evil little creatures." Wonder said with a mouthful. He swallowed hard, finally finishing his snack. Wonder pointed out another man in the room.

He pointed at everyone. "The high powers of your so-called "utopia." All of you are going to die here. I believe the human race will be better off without you. Life isn't meant to be the way you all have it running." Wonder said.

A man stood up. "What exactly do you know about life?! You haven't even been alive for a year, yet alone even one month! How could you possibly-"

"Because I possess the most powerful brain in existence. In all of creation. I simply have been learning from my enemies and through emotions. I've even learned about the history of you humans. I find it fascinating when people always say humans will destroy themselves. In reality…it's the people in charge who are doing these things. Lets have a look at a boy named Yoko. Yoko loved to play with his friends on the game, be with family, and even explore nature. A quiet kid with lots of potential in this world. Let's say, that one day…his homeland's leaders want something or cause something to happen because of an altercation between you higher-ups. That would mean…Yoko would have to fight in a war. That would mean he can't see his family. That would mean…he's possibly not returning home. All while…you people sit comfortably and watch. Even making profit from wars. Earth is beautiful. It just needs…a fresh start. A start no human has the power to accomplish. However, I can make that fresh start happen. I possess the power to reshape human civilization and their normal day lives!" Wonder growled.

"You can't just do this! Changing how the world runs and works?! It'll collapse everything! You do not know what you're doing, beast! Society would fail-"

"WRONG!! Society is already failing for you creatures! All of you are nothing but parasites to the earth!" Wonder roared.

"Without rule or punishment…people will go wild. Countries will fall apart. People will run around doing whatever it is they want. Take whatever the want!" A woman cried.

"I'm aware…of the true nature of your species. What I'm doing…is simply carving out the sick and evil few that plagues your little world. That is just the beginning. Humans are rather…intresting creatures. I feel as though you all are here for a bigger and better purpose, but you all are so twisted and evil…that you all will never truly reach your full potential or understand why you are all here." Wonder said. Wonder slowly unleashed his claws and kicked them. "Your world thrives with beautiful and natural energy. Even when I do kill Adisa, your world will be a big target for more creatures." Wonder said. Wonder locked eyes with a woman and jumped at her. He pinned her down and ripped her head off.

In a panic, everyone in the area began to yelled, push and shove. Running in all directions will Wonder ripped them apart…one-by-one.

Jared and the remaining soldiers quickly ran towards the tower. Jared stopped in his tracks when he could see a woman looking down from on top of the tower. She had long beautiful hair, green eyes with black pupils, the tip of her hair was light green and she had on a mask that covered her face. (The descriptions…she's…she's-)

"FALL BACK!!" Stoic yelled. "That woman…is a beast!" He warned. Jared quickly turned. He looked for his three brothers, but couldn't find them. (They were just behind me, right? Did they go inside the tower without me noticing?!)

Toxic spread her arms out. A thick cloud of green smoke formed between her hands. "It's a shame…after I kill you all, I can finally go to the real battlefield." Toxic sighed. "Toxic attack: Wide mouth spread!" The thick gas spreader and covered Jared's view of the sky itself. (This is it…I'm gonna…I'm gonna die-)

Stoic quickly pushed Jared down into a nearby trench.

Dirt covered Jared's eyes. Smothering him like his face was pressed underneath a pillow. Jared cleared his vision. The thick gas slowly fell and was getting closer. It was like a snowflake falling from the cold sky. Jared looked around to see multiple gas mask and weird outfits he had never seen before. Before Jared could grab the outfit, he could really tell how large the hole was. "This is massive. This was here the entire time?"

Just then, a group of men quickly tossed their guns and leaped down into the hole. "Holy hell!!" A man sighed, quickly tossing on one of the outfits. A few gunshots and screams went off from above. "Where are my brothers?!" Jared thought to himself. Jared climbed up and lifted his head out from the hole. He could see the tower being overrun with those tall creatures and Toxic above. Toxic locked eyes with Jared. Toxic pointed at him. The gas began to form into tall human-like shapes.

Jared quickly ducked back down and put on an outfit. "They're coming!" Jared gasped as he clutched his rifle close. (Damn…it almost…almost feels like I'm trapped. Just like when I was gonna be sent to that damn island.)

******

I remember sitting in that damn home…waiting. Just waiting to hear my fate. My parents were forced to go the island x. Where the Akies and other bad or useless people in the government's utopia would go. I was forced to sit in a room for hours…no sun, no television, one meal a day, and…no one to talk to. That was until she saved me.

Two heavy men lead me outside. I saw a woman with her son…just leaning against their fancy car. "Oh, yeah. I'll gladly take him. I'll take him and any other kid you have in this facility." The woman told the men with a smile.

The two men shrugged and went to grab the other kids.

That's when you finally approached me. You could see the sadness and anger all on my face. Yet…you picked me up, like the little boy I was and looked deep into my eyes. I could see the tears starting to build up. "I…I'm so sorry. You poor baby…I'm sorry." I remember you saying. You pulled me in and hugged me tight. I hugged you back, and for the first time in my life for a very long time…I felt…loved. From that day forward…I swore that I'd give my life for you and my brothers. If I fail…then we all die together.

*****

Jared opened his eyes. Without a gas mask or outfit to counter the affects, he jumped up from the home and charged at the tower. Toxic gave him a glare. (What is this human doing,m? Doesn't he know he's gonna-)

Toxic looked down to see three more men running towards Jared. (What's this?! Running out into the open?! Most of the people in the tower have been killed…why even run inside?) Toxic had her question answered, as Chuck and Junu were running with two kids each in their arms. Toxin's eyes widened. "Fools! Why not save yourself?! Those kids could give a damn about you!" Toxic yelled as she clapped her hands together. "Toxic attack-" a bullet struck Toxic's arm. The bullet reflected off of her skin. She turned her head to see Aarav with a bloody head pointing his pistol at the beast. (I've never met a human…who would go through such lengths…) Toxic held out her hand. Aarav felt his body being pulled towards the beast. Aarav quickly pushed a button on his pistol. The barrel grew in size. "Gernade launching pistol!" Aarav yelled as the grenade shot and pushed Toxic off of the building. Toxic used her gas to float above Aarav. Aarav looked up and pointed his gun again. "You'll soon be consumed by the gas that fills the air. Your skin will melt like butter, your lungs will fill with blood…are you sure you're ready for that, human?" Toxic asked with a smirk.

"Woman, I could care less about that gas. My only concern is making sure those idiots down there make it out alive." Aarav said. Toxic looked down to see a group of men in outfits and mask rushing towards her. (I respect these four men…truly. But you all are child's play. Surely they know they will die if they continue fighting me.)

Toxic ignored Aarav and dove directly at the group of men. Sounds of bullets letting loose filled the air. Jared ran as fast as he could to his brothers. "Junu and Chuck…behind you!!" Jared yelled. Toxic flew directly over them and tossed a cloud of gas, melting away at the soldier's suits and mask. Cries of pain filled the air. It was as if the soldiers were burning- on fire even. Like they were in hell. Just being tossed into the pits and burnt alive. "Light her up!" A woman yelled in the crowd of screaming people. A few rounds were let loose as Toxic avoided the bullets with ease. A few unknown creatures shot up from the ground and wrapped their little bodies around some soldiers and dragging them under.

The soldier's cries and screams faded as they were submerged underneath the dirt. Jared felt something crawling on his leg. He looked down to see a hairy creature crawling on all fours. It had thick brown fur, thin pink legs, sharp white claws, and a small tail. Its hair covered its face. Jared quickly kicked the creature off and shot at it.

The creature let out a hiss before going underground. Jared turned back around and was slapped across his face by Toxic. She stood over him and grabbed him by the shirt. "Why did you leave cover? Why? Don't you know…that my gas will kill you?" Toxic asked while looking at Jared with a curious look.

"It's not death I fear. I only care about

protecting my brothers." Jared replied. Toxic thought about it and tilted her head to the side. "Humans have different races. The same species but in no way are the exact same. How are the four of you brothers?"

Jared didn't wanna answer. He just wanted to get away from the beast and run away. "You…you're telling me you look just like a human…and some of the other beast I've heard about look nothing like you. Yet, you ask how do I call them brothers?" Jared asked. Toxic looked straight ahead and smiled. "Fair enough, human." Toxic said. Toxic turned around to see Aarav and Junu rushing towards him. "I crave…for such feelings at times." Toxic sighed. "Get them out of here, and quickly." Toxic said as she flew at the soldiers behind Jared.

Jared leaned forward and locked eyes with Junu. Jared held out his hand to stop the two. "Where's Chuck-"

"Right behind you!" Chuck yelled as he scooped up Jared and began running towards the remaining horses.

"Stoic left a few in the forest. If we can make it, we can get ourselves and these kids outta here!" Chuck said.

Aarav and Junu quickly followed behind him. "We're just gonna leave them?!" Jared asked as Chuck avoided a sharp object. "Those guys are not gonna survive!" Chuck yelled.

"That doesn't mean you abandon them!" Jared yelled, elbowing Chuck in his shoulder. Chuck fell to the ground and rolled over in the mud. Aarav and Junu stopped in their tracks. "Guys, we don't have time for this. You see that gas?" Junu asked while pointing up. "It's only getting closer and closer. We've gotta move."

Chuck and Jared ignored Junu's warning. The two men sized each other up. "You never listen. If we run away now…that just means we're leaving people out there to die!" Jared argued.

"Fool. Those men and women are already good as dead! Right now, you're putting the whole family at risk!"

"ME?! You're the one who decided to go into the tower! Besides, the beast…she said we could leave. She told me that we would have to hurry." Jared pushed past Chuck and raised his rifle. "What's the first thing mom taught us?" Jared asked.

"To not leave each other or others behind…" Chuck replied. "Right…so don't you dare not follow her orders. A man who'll others behind to save himself…ain't a man at all." Jared said as he ran back into the fight. Chuck smacked his lips. "Aarav…take the kids, get on the horses, and run."

"But-"

"I'm not askin' you. I'm tellin' you! Me, Junu and Jared will find you, brother. Trust." Chuck said as he walked up to Aarav and placed his hand behind head head. "We gonna find you, okay?"

"Chuck…"

"It's okay. Mama taught us not to be cowards. Jared is right. Get on out of here." Chuck said as he kissed Aarav on his head. "GO!!!" Chuck yelled.

*****

Jared could see Toxic above. Raining down her toxic gas on the soldiers. Jared took aim and fired at her. Toxic quickly turned and caught the bullet in her hand. She locked eyes with Jared again. (He came back?!)

Toxic clapped her hands and raised them both in the air. "Ground…leakage!" Toxic said as gas began to slowly creep up from the ground.

Jared hadn't fully realized it yet, but most of the fighters had been killed from the fighting.

Jared stood still and just observed the area. A sea of dead men, women, and children covered the field. That's when Jared could see them. A little girl and a woman were crawling slowly on the ground. (There! They have to hurry up or the gas will kill them!)

Jared sprinted at the two. (I knew there was someone to save!) Jared thought. Suddenly, Toxic landed softly on the ground in front of the man. "Human…you are full of surprises." Toxic chuckled under her breath. "W-why did you let me run away?" He asked in a demanding voice. Toxic tilted her head. "You just…you're not a bad person." Toxic said. Jared could see his own reflection in her eyes.

Those eyes…seemed more human than even he was. "Human, I will be honest with you. My gas is going to kill you…I prefer to give you a quick death. So allow me to make it quick and painless." Toxic said. "I only came back to save as many people as I can. Don't you see all of the people you're hurting? It's not right!" Jared said.

Toxic closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She could hear a baby crying in her mind. She jolted her eyes open. "I don't expect you to understand." Toxic opened her hand and shot a cloud of gas at Jared. (Woah!)

Jared leaped out of its way. He quickly spun and held the trigger down on his rifle. Multiple bullets shot at Toxic. She just stood there…catching each bullet with ease. "Human…just give up…and perish." Toxic stepped on Jared's leg, crushing it. "DAMN ITT!!!" Jared yelled in pain. "Forgive me….Human." Toxic was about to shoot her gas. Toxic could feel something heavy on the side of her face.

Stoic had punched the beast and slightly knocked her back. Half of Stoic's face was melted off. Jared could see his skeleton. "Aauughh!!!" Stoic threw another punch at her. Toxic grabbed him by his arm and tossed him over herself. Before Toxic could do anything else, Jared jumped up and jumped on top of Toixc.

"Idiot!" Toxic yelled as she tossed Jared off of her.

One beast…one beast sat quietly in the mountains that overlooked the skies themselves. It was as if they were in space itself. The beast slowly lifted its head. "I'm bored. Drop the strongest warriors here." The beast growled.
