The Wu Clan had a better hierarchical structure than the Winterborn Dragons. The monkeys had a definite main bloodline, which was the royal family of the continent, and branches that the others fell into.
As such, they had an emperor, an empress, a host of other wives and concubines of the emperor, along with many princes and princesses.
With the emperor away for the moment, the Celestials Irontail and Peachbone had taken the opportunity to host Alex. They took him and the group into the main palace of the clan and quickly served him refreshments.
"Will you really only be staying here for less than 2 days?" Irontail asked. "Isn't that far too short a time?"
"I would love to stay longer, but I cannot," Alex answered. "I have a reason to hurry back to the Human realms, so I must leave this realm as soon as I can. I would've left sooner had I not needed to spend a week here so the teleportation formation could be prepared for our departure."
