The Yin Bead sucked in all Yin in the surroundings, filling Alex with a deep sense of coolness. He had delayed this one task for a long time, but with how his body constitution had developed, he had to take in the Yin.
As coldness seeped into every aspect of Alex's physique, he finally left when he could handle it no longer. He escaped back out in the middle of the night to where Pearl and Whisker were waiting for him.
Pearl moved forward. "Are you done, brother?" he asked.
"A little," Alex explained. "My body is temporarily stable, but once the Yin in me is used up, I fear I will start heating up again. I need to do this multiple times until the Yin Bead is strong enough to produce enough Yin on its own."
"I see," Pearl said.
They left back for the sect after that, having nothing else to do.
Alex relayed what had happened to the Grand Elder and Bladedance, telling them that it wouldn't be long before it was time for them to leave.
