Shortly, Xu Ke made a decision. "Fine. As long as your information satisfies me, I'll give you the antidote right away."
If this information could indeed save my life, what's the problem with giving Li Lang the antidote?
Even though he knew that as soon as Li Lang regained his freedom, he would immediately turn against him.
But what of it? Survival is paramount.
Yet, Li Lang immediately shook his head. "Give me the antidote first. This feeling of depending on a small dose of antidote every day just to stay alive is too painful."
"No," Xu Ke flatly refused.
Li Lang clenched his teeth. "Don't you even care about your own life?"
"Whether the information is true or not has to be verified by facts," Xu Ke said coolly. "If I gave you the antidote and you gave me false information, wouldn't I still die?"
"Am I that kind of person?" Li Lang raged.
Xu Ke raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you?"
Li Lang looked at Xu Ke furiously. "Don't you have any sincerity about cooperating?"
