Beatrice felt her heart beating wildly. She could feel the tension slowly building as she stood inbetween both of her lovers. In all of her happiness, she had forgotten about him, and the connection they had shared. Seeing him here, now, standing in front of her with those pleading eyes, she knew Clacny had been right all along. She should have never involved the Duke.
"Please wait outside." Beatrice spoke to the guards sho did not know what to do about the intrusion.
One nodded his head and the pair closed the large doors.
"How rude of them. They didn't listen to me when I told them you would want to see me." He bragged.
Beatrice kept her voice low and calm. "Why have you come?" She asked him.
The question seemed to annoy him in a way she was not accustomed to with him. The Duke had always been gentle and kind with her. He snapped.
"The Invitation ! You wouldn't have sent it had you not wanted me back." He explained for her.
