Snow started to fall all around the island but strangely enough, there was a large five-meter large circle of melted snow around the two warriors. There was so much built-up energy and heat that the snow instantly melted when coming nearby. "You're pretty strong for someone who just recently started training. You, are a fast learner!" The short man said with a smile and cracking his knuckles.
Zero and Krillin were standing three meters apart, they stared into each other's eyes with the sole intention of having a good fight. "Yeah, my progress is even astounding to me!" Zero's blood was pumping; although not learning the signature Kamehameha wave, he still learned something powerful and just that much more unique to him which made the man proud.
Who wouldn't be pleased to learn something that wasn't as oversaturated as the Turtle Hermit School's signature attack? Sure it may not be as known, but that doesn't make it any less powerful! [This is a world of warriors, some fight to protect the weak while others seek domination. I am a protector and even though I'm not as strong as I'd like to be, I will get there soon]
Zero rushed towards Krillin with his right fist stretched outwards. This punch would be easy for Krillin to dodge but he chose to deflect the attack by pushing Zero's arm to the left as he charged, throwing off his balance. Zero decided to use his forward momentum to his advantage instead of losing balance and falling to the floor. He spun in the air to the left while switching legs for balance. Once he landed on his left leg, his right shin was forcefully smacked across the backside of Krillin's neck causing him to fly a few meters forward.
The force behind the kick was strong enough to split a hardwood dresser in half like it was a piece of paper! While flying through the air the shorter man looked back and smiled while holding up his hands. [Aw shit-] Zero thought as within the next moment a short barrage of simple Ki blasts was shot in his direction. In response to this, he held up his arms to block as ten orbs of energy smacked against his body causing him to slide back and throw dust into the air.
Krillin flipped himself mid-air and managed to land on his feet smiling. [Ooo I'm so gonna get you back for that] Zero thought to himself and stood there smiling while trying to formulate a new plan. Currently six months Into his training and even though he's made progress in mastering a technique and having above-average level Ki control, Zero thought he was lacking the variety of attacks. "You're tougher than you look Zero!" Krillin says.
He was only half listening and trying to think of new attacks to use in this fight. Should he improvise? [No take it slow, like a wise man once said 'Mastering even one is cause for celebration. If you can only do one thing hone it to perfection, work on refining it to its utmost potential!] He looks down at his hands and clenches his right fist with determination, then looks back to Krillin.
Zero cracks his knuckles getting ready to attack, but to his surprise, Krillin vanished for a brief second before reappearing behind him with a leg raised. He brought it down with such speed Zero had no time to dodge so, being his only option he raised his hands to grab the leg and stop the kick. As he held the leg in place, the amount of power that was applied to it caused Zero's ankles to be swallowed by the Earth!
[I forget this isn't the anime anymore, this is real life. Fights won't be nearly as long as they were portrayed back then, there's also the possibility of the characters acting completely different or on their own so I can't expect them to wait for me] While he was trying to process this common knowledge Krillin took advantage of the situation and swung his right foot to hit Zero in his ribs. This heavy attack stunned him causing him to scream in pain, but that wasn't all the shiny-headed wonder had in store for the man with golden eyes.
While Zero screamed Krillin twisted his body more and slammed his right fist into the left side of Zero's face knocking him down. "Hehe sorry about that, maaaybe I got too much into the fight there. Here let me help you up-" As Krillin reached down allowing Zero to grab his hand which was a mistake. [Time to pull a Vegeta!] He thought. As soon as he grabbed his hand, Zero jumped as high as he possibly could with Krillin hanging on tight.
"You wanna play rough?" Zero swung Krillin whole still holding him. This allowed him to use his body weight to spin them mid-air, which kept up for about one minute. "Okay!" He yelled, in the next moment Krillin was flung back towards the ground from twenty-two meters up. "Say hello to my little friend!" with no mercy Zero summoned as much energy as he could and unleashed a barrage of Ki blasts at the falling cue ball.
[This is okay to do..he has survived much worse after all-] He tried to brush off the thought of holding back because if the situation were reversed, he would have. o mercy shown to him. As Krillin's body hit the floor it bounced back up causing him to cough up a little blood. The first ball of energy connected with his body and exploded, this explosion shook the ground and caused what little animals that were around to run in terror.
That first explosion was only a taste of what was to come as more and more came after it; each one exploding upon impact not all of them hit but most did. Zero continued the barrage until he was around twelve meters from the floor. Upon landing he jumped some ways from the large crater where he assumed Krillin was laying or standing in, readying himself for any sudden attacks as the dust and dirt cleared.
Just as he was about to yell out to his sparring partner he heard a very specific audio note come from the darkness of the smoke. Then his heart practically jumped out of his body as he saw a whitish-blue ray of light shine through the smoke clouds. "KAAA-MEEEE-" The voice from the Abyss echoed loudly
"Is he doing what I think he is??" Nonetheless Zero responded by doing the specialty he learned. Placing his hands together while channeling his energy throughout his body and to his arms, then brought his hands apart just enough for the fingertips to touch. "LIGHTNINGG-" Sparks of green electricity soon engulfed his hands and slowly made its way towards his elbows.
Tiny pebbles and bits of earth slowly started to levitate slightly off the ground, some of them burst into tiny pieces while others simply shook violently. "HAAAA-" As the cloud around Krillin slowly departed it was seemingly sucked towards the formation of energy within his hands, it was as if nature wanted this moment to be dramatic!
"FLASHH-" By this point Zero's entire arms and part of his chest was covered in this green electricity. He tried to keep his heart rate calm so there wouldn't be an accidental heart attack while charging this attack to his current maximum. "SURPRISEEE-" When the next phrase was said his entire torso had been swallowed.
"MEEEEEE-HAAAAAA!!!" Once Krillin fired his beam toward his opponent the smoke around him instantly dispursed and everything went dead silent besides the noises coming from his attack. "ATTACKK!" Zero returned the favor by launching his attack causing the trees behind him to blow backward. The Kamehameha versus the Lightning Flash Suprise Attack. The former technique looked bulkier, but believe it or not the ladder wasn't any less powerful!
The two attacks collided midway between the two men, which in turn initiated a beam struggle! Once they made contact the ground beneath them was instantly destroyed leaving a deep crater, and the noise coming off them was like roaring waves against the thundering night sky. Krillin shouted louder and pumped more energy into his attack causing the standstill to slowly turn into a winning fight. Zero did the same.
This pushed them back to the middle, it was like a reverse game of tug-of-war! "I won't lose!" Zero shouted in determination while taking a step forward pushing the beams closer to Krillin's side. He needed to end this quickly, charging up the Lightning Shock for longer than normal causing a massive drain of energy! Zero got a little carried away and put himself in an intense uphill battle.
Quite the ways away was an old man with shades who observed from the distance while stroking his beard and walking towards the conflict. "Heh, to think he's already caught up to Krillin in such a short time. Zero's potential truly is amazing!" A few minutes later the old master arrived and learned his throat and prepared to say something. "Ahem...ENOUGH!"
His shout rang loudly over the ongoing conflict, the two were thrown off a bit and slowly retreated their hold on their attacks and successfully ceasing the struggle. "You boys sure have gotten stronger throughout your training, especially you Zero." Being acknowledged by Master Roshi made him perk up a bit even though his first beam struggle was ruined.
"Krillin you must be slacking in your training for a new pupil like him to catch up to you within only Six months, what have you been doing??" he bowed awkwardly after basically being called weak by his master. "You see I've been focusing on trying to get the basics of this new attack down, so I've been neglecting my physical training. Although I must admit I didn't expect to fall behind this much.."
"There are no excuses when it comes to training, you must focus on every part because each aspect is very important!" Roshi hit Krillin's head with his staff. "I don't suppose you've heard from Goku yet have you?" Roshi asked his short apprentice who Sadly shook his head. "No, I hope he is alright. We haven't heard from him since the ending of that tournament.."
It was obvious that the two truly cared for the safety of their friend. Zero decided to butt in and change the subject at least for a little. "Let's get home and freshen up a little, Krillin you can tell us about your new attack and I'll tell you about some ideas I have for me" He smiled while his hands we placed on the other two's shoulders. All three of them turned opposite the battlefield and returned to the Kame House and began to converse about their moves and various foods.
