(Meanwhile, back in the cathedral.)
"Just give me the book!"
Benches overturned, ceilings collapsed, and shards of colored glass glittered on the floor. After finding the book Isolde desired to burn, a fight erupted out of nowhere, transforming the abandoned cathedral into a fighting ground.
Isolde grasped hold of his sharp-edged, icy sword, then charged and jolted straight through the chairs, nearly slicing Asahi's old skin off. The pain of such a sensation made him writhe in pain.
But, just before anymore damage could be done, a shockwave erupted out of nowhere, propelling everyone back, slamming their bodies against the hard wall of the cathedral. Asahi felt as if his whole skeleton had shattered.
Now, a reminder, Asahi did not have the youth he had in his body like he normally had.
His soul was anchored to this weak and miserable structure, to which he could barely use self-defense.
